Mattresses are hard foam, and I woke up with a sore shoulder every day. Other than that, this place is FANTASTIC! The staff is lovely and very helpful. For Americans, please do not assume automatic checkout and billing of incidentals. You have to go into the lobby and checkout.

Absolutely amazing hotel, we stayed on the beach front with our own pool and I was so pleased with everything, the room is great for a family, plenty of space and very chic and modern, the restaurants around the property were all excellent and the beach is shallow and calm waters. Excellent spa the girls were amazing highly recommend the full body massage and facial. All in all can’t wait to return 😀

Cannot fault this incredible hotel, after travelling many years we have fallen in love with this hotel and the location. We will be back for sure. The quality of the rooms, service, breakfast and cocktails were amazing. It’s a small boutique hotel on a pebbley local beach in close proximity to some lovely local restaurants.

Fantastic location, lovely beach, good rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Food in the restaurant/bar is pretty good. Only slight annoyance is the noise of water flushing from neighbouring rooms (both above/adjacent). Decor and finish in the rooms, including private pool is fantastic!

The Olivar Suite is a perfect hotel to spend some calm and relaxing days at your private pool. The Service was excellent, starting with the refreshing towels and ending with super friendly housekeeping staff. The location of the hotel is not the perfect one to explore the island from here. I would suggest this hotel for some calm & relaxing days after exploring. The breakfast was amazing and I enjoyed every minute!

We had a very pleasant stay in this excellent hotel. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Could not fault the service. Being vegetarians, the maître d Vaggelis and his team were very accommodating despite a small selection of Vegan Vegetarian choice on the restaurant menu. Very good retreat Hotel and location.

fantastic and everything is of high quality. There are suites that I would def not book (nr. 400 ) for reasons of noise (street/bar) and there are some things that could improve (bigger bottles of shower gel/shampoo instead of the tiny ones would avoid unnecessary waste), better selection of fruits and granola for breakfast, better coffee but that’s improvement on an already very high level. There were enough sunbeds at the beach and in the pool area and the service there was amazing. The guests (mostly couples and young families) were all very respectful and contributed to the relaxing atmosphere. Alone the hotels neighnourhood is a bit trashy and lacks charme but on the other hand gives plenty of options to walk to nice tavernas and fish restaurants.

Great resort, but somewhat isolated (no resort shuttles vs other resorts) and not suitable for kids (pool that starts to close at 630pm for the night for 7pm dinner time….no swimming after dinner, and were met with indignation when we were told to get out of the pool, but no signs to indicate pool closure). As well, hotel is divided by busy road, with pool, restaurant, and beach located across this road (Was a security guard that seemed to look out for kids crossing the roads…cars and bikes travel at speeds in excess of road allowance). Hotel room and private plunge pool were a nice touch (beware mosquitos at night as private plunge pools are surrounded by vegetation as we found out the hard way (again disappointing that main pool is closed, that does not have lots of bugs such as the beach). Would rate the food as 3 stars, basic breakfast menu that you order off of, that does not change (opted to go off resort for lunch and dinner, as found great restaurant nearby). Also, if the gym is your thing, the gym area is incredibly small, and anymore than 3 people seems very crammed, with folks spilling out into the hallway). Overall, I would rate this hotel 4/5 if travelling as adults, and maybe a bit higher if the hotel had shuttle service (The service they contract out is reliable, but expensive for shuttle service (remoteness is why hotel concierge advised is why they hire for reliability). Again, great resort, but should have realized more an adult only resort (on me).

We had a wonderful stay

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay. They upgraded our room and sent a cake because the holiday was for her birthday. Every detail was well thought out and executed with perfection. The rooms were very modern and well presented. We had bed and breakfast at the main restaurant and ordered via room service which was 10/10. The restaurant and beach bar were great for dining and beach side drinks. Our only gripe would be the price of the bar with a corona at €7 compared to the shop next door which was €1.69. The cocktails were delicious. The food was on the expensive side but was worth it. There are a lot of local restaurants and bars which we enjoyed, the beach was great and very clean. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We hired a car which meant exploring the island was easy and we could park our car for free in the hotel.

The resort is beautiful. Landscaping and design of the buildings is remarkable. The guest service staff was extraordinary. They helped plan excursions and gave good suggestions on dinner reservations as well as other events. Their follow up was on point. Transportation was prompt and drivers were so helpful and friendly. We loved Flya restaurant. We had breakfast there every day. Service was great and food was great with a good variety. The restaurant was never too crowded. Always could be seated right away for breakfast. It was quite lovely looking out at the pool and beach. The beach was relaxing and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. I swam over a mile from pier to jetty most days in the sea right off the beach. The pool was wonderful and long enough to swim laps. Service at the beach and pool were good but a little bit of a language barrier. Our sea view Riviera suite was beautiful and the view was stunning. The bed was very comfortable. We had a few issues with the light and electronic switches in the room and the bright emergency exit sign. I would suggest a better tutorial upon check in. Also the air conditioner was turned off most days by the maid service while we were gone for the day. We were not able to use the chrome cast that was hooked up on the TV. We tried to use the device mirror feature but it did not support some apps like Apple TV . All in all we would give this resort a 9.5 out of 10 and we definitely want to come back and stay longer.

We loved every moment of our stay in a junior suite with private pool at Olivar. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful with any questions asked. Welcome gift of wine, bottled water and fruit platter was a lovely touch. Room amenities were excellent, including bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, straighteners and Nespresso coffee machine. Housekeeping did a terrific job and the room had a really pleasant scent. The main pool area was very relaxing and convenient for lunch options at Flya restaurant. This hotel delivers an excellent standard of luxury and service, a wonderful haven in the centre of Messonghi.
