This is a pet-friendly hotel. While I'm used to staying in hotels that allow pets, at this location, there were dogs everywhere—barking, urinating on the grass, etc. During check-in, a dog actually tried to pounce on me; thankfully, it was on a leash. If you’re traveling with a pet, this place may be a great option—but otherwise, it might feel overwhelming.
It also appeared that the hotel was hosting transients or possibly operating as a halfway house. There were people openly smoking weed, and the smell even seeped into my room. It made for a very unpleasant experience.
Another concern: while the hotel is spread across multiple buildings, my building (Building 3) had no security lock on the entrance, which didn’t feel safe.
On top of that, my room didn’t appear to have been properly cleaned. The bar soap and towel had clearly been used, and there was a Dude Wipe wrapper left in the trash. It definitely didn’t give us a clean or fresh feeling.
Lastly, this was in the middle of July, and we were disappointed to find that the pool was out of service—with no advance notice. That was a big letdown.
