Went to the greyday 2025 concert and had ordered my hotel room prior to the stay, got two king rooms that were supposed to be conjoint due to me having my younger sister with me. Spend $220 originally on two rooms for one night. Already quite a bit of money, plus the $40 parking fee, so already had spent $260 on the hotel alone.(plus concert + gas expenses was probably like $800-$900) however when we arrived for check in, they had informed us that their “card reader” went down, and charged us an additional $50 for each room key ($100 total, technically $360). So we were a little upset due to the fact we were saving the rest of our money for the concert festivities, however we paid and went about our business, come to find out she can’t put us in our original rooms and had to give two rooms with double beds instead of the two with one bed like we wanted, and also they were not conjoined, so checking on my sister involved me knocking on the door every time, also didn’t want to get an extra key for the room bc they would have made us pay another $50, went to check out and was refunded the money, but I wish the staff would have told us about the money coming back instead of letting us wonder for about 15 hours on why we had to pay out of pocket for a hotel issue. Over all the hotel was very overpriced and not worth it, our hotel room had a stained ceiling like it had been burnt, and our smoke detector went off randomly several times.
