InterContinental Seoul COEX

Loved the 5 star feeling. Quite, relaxing, spa was perfect, enjoyed the pool and gym, free parking, and room view. My son and i fought over who had the window seat. The best part was the green rug. 😆

Room wasn’t cleaned properly throughout my whole stay. I tipped housekeeping hoping they would do a better job cleaning my room but I was still very disappointed. Room was very old and not maintained very well. Tbh I expected a lot more from a intercontinental. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and this place was more like a 3.5 star hotel. The location was really good it’s right next to the coex mall, parnas mall, the Hyundai department store, and 2 subway stations inside the mall. I was able to get everything I needed from cheap to expensive without going outdoors. Btw there is 2 intercontinental hotels inside the coex mall but the other intercontinental was getting renovated when I was in Seoul. Maybe I’ll try staying there next time. I’ve stayed at other intercontinental hotels before and this is the worst one I’ve ever stayed at. The location is really good otherwise I would give this hotel a even lower rating. I will definitely never stay at this hotel ever again.

Cleanliness: Tidy enough albeit being an old establishment. If you do look closely though there were quite a bit of dust hovering around. Service: generally friendly and helpful. However, one of the employees at the check in desk did not seem to know her stuff. I wanted to know the approximate time for housekeeping each morning since I had to work inside my room. I asked her, but then was told the room has already been cleaned and will be cleaned again after my check out (well...of course). She told me, if I wanted my room to be cleaned during the stay I could request it. So I thought “I see, this hotel must be one of those eco friendly ones that provide housekeeping services only upon demand.” Wrong I was, as I was visited twice (9:38am and around 3pm) the next day by the housekeeping staff. Quite sub par stuff coming from someone who works at a 5-star hotel. Bathroom: I was looking forward to using the bathtub, but the plug did not work well. Water seemed to be going down the drain slowly. Not impressed. An ordinary experience overall. I expected to be wowed simply by being in a 5 star hotel, but did not experience anything of that sort. A lot of 4 star hotels offer similar services, but at lower prices. Pros: location, free parking, amenities

I enjoyed staying with my daughter in intercontinental coex hotel in Seoul. It was a comfortable staying, but as 5stat hotel, I expected certain hospitality mind-set which was poorly done. Only 2 things I would like to highlight. 1. I booked for 3rd time breakfast timing which opens from 10:10am, as I went down to 1st floor at 9:50am to avoid traffic, I was guided to be seated until restaurant is prepared for 3rd session. I sat right in front of the staff at the entrance. I was waiting with my 6 year-old girl, and as time getting closer to 10:10am, a Q began and I was not been guided to be an early person. I had to ask staff several times as I’m an early bird guest. Of course it wouldn’t look fair to the other guests who Queue up. My expectation was for staff to monitor me for being an early guest, so I didn’t have to feel anxious or worries of not to cut into Q lane, but she was only busy with paper works. 2. Very poor in soundproof from room to room. I was able to hear next door talking after midnight. Beside this, I enjoyed staying but I have to reconsider / hesitate again for my next visiting.

친구랑 이 곳에서 호캉스했던 기억이 좋았어서 이번에 가족 호캉스에도 인터컨 코엑스를 선택했어요. 뷰에 환장하는 편이라 돈 더주고 템플뷰로 했는데 겨울이라 봉은사가 좀 휑해보였어요 ㅜㅜ 봄이 돼서 꽃도 피고 파릇파릇해지면 더 뷰가 좋을 것 같네요 ㅎㅎ 글구 예약할땐 몰랐는데 템플뷰 룸은 사우나가 무료라고 하셔서 엄마 동생이랑 잘 이용했어요 ㅋㅋ 그냥 동네목욕탕 같은 거였긴 한데 제트스파 같은 미온탕이 있어서 좋았어요. 객실 어메니티는 agraria라는 브랜드인데 (사우나는 아님) 레몬버베나 향이 산뜻하고 기분 좋아요. 아쉬운게 있다면... 객실 화장실에 욕조가 있어서 입욕제 넣고 몸좀 담글까했더니 욕조 높이가 좀 낮아서 몸이 푹 들어가진 않는다는 거였어요 (키 168cm 기준) 사우나 헤어드라이기는 jmw인데 객실은 아니어서 바람이 좀 덜셌던 것도 쪼매 아쉽 ㅎㅎ 현백 코엑스랑 가까워서 쇼핑 영화 외식도 편하고, 조식도 나름 가짓수 다양하고 좋았고... 종합적으로 5성급 중에 가성비 좋아요 추천입니당

Fabulous location, convenient shopping, very clean, friendly staff, and healthy breakfast. I will stay again for sure.

I am impressed that my row away bed was actually in the room before I check in. The only downside that I feel was the pillow was too soft for comfort and it would be good if there is a choice of pillow for example neck support pillow. The location is excellent as centrally linked to two train stations.

Swimming pool not for children below six. Fantastic amenities close by, good staff service and response. Very very attentive to details. The tour desk is a bit lacking, even for a business hotel.
