Gluten- or lactose free options very poor or nothing at all on breakfast. No eggs on breakfast either. Quiet room, good bed. Clean and feels safe. Peaceful environment and good location near the metro station.

Everyone we encountered was helpful and kind. The location was super convenient for accessing public transportation, including river transportation to major tourist attractions. There were many shops and restaurants in the area, and there is a nice restaurant in the hotel.

Lovely hotel about two blocks away from the Gare de Lyon train station. Small but comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. Very walkable neighborhood and close to metro and train stations so getting around Paris was easy.

It was amazing ! I booked it the same evening I used it. I had a problem with another place, so it was kind of an emergency. Was a great surprise ! Warm and cosy room, enough for two people, great area for breakfasts and very well placed in town ! Right next to the train station, and you can go anywhere by walk or using some transports. Fantastic week-end, saved by this hotel. Thank you !

Very average hotel. Not really 4 star.

Reasonably good location for the metro to go elsewhere. Neighbourhood a bit rough since right next to the big train station. Hotel common areas has been interior decorated at some point, however, the rooms are a bit worn out with some holes in the walls etc. Don't pay extra for breakfast. Take your coffee and croissant elsewhere, as the small breakfast offered is poor. Think big greasy glasses of super market marmalade where you need to use a long spoon to get down to the jam/marmelade - microwave scrambled egg from plastic bottles. Beds were fine which is important. Staff OK for Paris.

Good place to stay for a night near the gare, but I wouldn't stay here for a trip to Paris. Our bathroom had grafitti on the walls from past guests, and the general state of the room was rough. This is a utility hotel, but don't stay here for your vacation.

Room was ok but air con was super noisey, had to turn it off. Shower was very small and was a squeeze for me, I'm well built but not massive. Location was good and hotel was clean but would not stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for my needs! I arrived tired and jet lagged and check in was a breeze. I chose this location due to its proximity to Gare de Lyon as I had a train to Nice the following morning. It was a very easy 3-4 minute walk to the train station which also had a Starbucks—very important to this American! Once I made sure I could get to the train station, I explored the area a bit. I loved Rue Cremiux—super cute picture spot and I had a lovely dinner at Le Bistro Lyonnais—highly recommend!! All in all Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon Opéra Bastille exceeded my expectations and I would have happily stayed longer than the one night I had there.

10min walking distance from La Gare de Lyon, Velib bike station very close, all the restaurant you want close to the hotel for a drink on the patio or eat. I strongly recommend the outdoor patio by the water canal call Chez Mylène, start your dinner around 8h00pm to watch the sunset until 10h00pm and see this magical atmosphère turning to night light! Vive Paris :) We took the taxi for CGL, it takes 45min without traffic and 65 Euro. By train it takes over 1h easy and you need to takes 3 different train.
