Tepid coffee pots...
We arrived at the given time of 3pm, only to find that the room was not ready. We then had to wait for about 45 minutes before we were able to gain access, during which time we were left to our own devices, and we sat in the bar area. During this wait it was clear to see that there were insufficient members of staff on duty. The lounge area was not cleared after guests departed. The Maitre-de, was clearly annoyed with his bar staff and was rude to them. He was seen to be drinking from a left over order that had been cleared onto the bar from the dining room, and was clearly unprofessional.
Breakfast the following morning. Whilst the master of the room was clearly good at his job and was friendly, the staff under his control, did not exude his same professionalism. Despite having to return a coffee pot that was tepid they proceeded to deliver another pot from the same pre-heated urn, which again was tepid. It took another guest to similarly return another coffee pot, that the realisation that the heating source was not working correctly. Finally a fresh, hot coffee pot was produced.The presentation and service was otherwise excellent.
