1)When I arrived, I was greeted nicely. But then when I gave my card info to pay, I was told they needed my card pin, which that's the first time I've ever had to do with any reservations through Expedia at any other hotels before. I put my pin in on Aug 25, 2025, the first day of my stay. On the morning of Aug 26, 2025 I got a call from my banks fraud alert asking me if I tried to make a purchase of $99.99 for Crown Coins Casino (online gaming). I told the fraud alert agent that I do not play any online casino games, never have, never will
The agent then told me that it happened twice. Not to worry because both purchases were denied.
So this makes me very skeptical now of giving my pin out when paying for a room.
I'm bring it to your attention. It's not right to try to take any extra client funds for any reason except for paying for the room.
2) When I made the reservation, I thought I was getting a Walkin Mobility Shower, not crawl in. I'm in a locked straight knee brace. I can only walk into, not step into a tub/shower combo. 3) When I entered the room. It smelled a bit musty, like it had not been used in a while. I checked the a/c filter which was broken and was filthy dirty. So I cleaned it by running it under the shower head. 4)There was a lot of doors slamming all night long which made it very hard to fall asleep. I would say that this experience at the Super 8 Hotel in Clive, IA will be the only time I stay. To much noise for someone trying to get any decent rest.
