We stayed at this La Quinta over the weekend. It was just about what I’d expect - reasonably nice rooms (especially nice shower which did NOT have a low-flow head), a breakfast appropriate to a hotel at this price point, and common areas fairly clean.
Big exception was the pool. Given the wicked heat it would have been nice to have a swim but when we arrived the pool water was green, there wasn’t even a whiff of chlorine in the pool room, you couldn’t see more than about 18 inches in the water, and there was a sheen of what I assume was the oil from the skin of a whole lot of previous guests.
Several people commented about the gross water, and the front desk staff didn’t seem to care much. The manager said someone was doing maintenance on the pool but that’s hard to believe - my own hot tub would take days of ignoring water chemistry to get into the condition that pool water was in.
Other than that our trip was fine.
