Anniversary Weekender

Stayed here on a friends recommendation and what a fantastic hotel it is. The food, staff and cleanliness were first rate and the grounds were beautiful. We will be booking another stay here very shortly.

probably a one off

For a 5 star hotel I was disappointed with the attention to comfort and peaceful ness of my stay. There was horrendous drilling on the new spa/gym being built that left me with a headache. I would have expected to be put in a room future away as the hotel was not full. Also a maid barged in without knocking and a do not disturb sign on my door The grounds and over ambiance are very impressive and stately. It is possible this is a one off but I expect more from a 5 star

Relaxing and Fabulous

The hotel is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fabulous hotel surroundings. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and also very spacious. I will be staying here again very soon. Thanks

Amazing weekend !!

Would highly recommend Rudding Park. Grounds are lovely, hotel is modern but with a traditional feel and the attention to detail is a fabulous additional touch - the complimentary upgrade, champagne and chocolates for my partner's birthday were greatly appreciated. The staff were very friendly and provided 5* service

A pleasant stay

We stayed in the follifoot wing, which has lovely fresh decor. The bar and reception areas are in need of a refit. We had a great door man, Dan, who really went out of the way to inform us as to places to visit, and was so friendly and helpful.

Great looking hotel

The Hotel is very attractive with large well laid out rooms. There were a few problems though with our meal. At dinner our champagne was served in disappointingly cheap glasses -what a let down with a bottle of Bollinger. We had real problems getting our sparkling water chilled too - at one point when we asked for it to be put into the wine cooler, the waitress was about to tip it in to top up the ice! Overall a nice stay though

Stunning Hotel but shocking service in Bar / Rest

The hotel is stunning. Design, rooms (partic in the new wing), service at reception, quality of products all top notch. One big let down - service in the bar area - inside and outside (inc restaurant area outside) is just absolutely shocking - rude, unhelpful, slow, unattentive, grumpy and just not worth a visit. I only stayed one night and will give you 3 examples: 1) Lunch on Arrival - went to table outside - no staff had clue - they didn't advise if just sit down or wait - didn't say hello how are you - no menu or drink offered until asked - no food order taken until asked - drinks slow (15 mins for 2 beers). Food came quick but generally was annoying. 2) Drinks after Golf - we arrived back from 18 holes golf late sat afternoon and wanted 2 beers - barman at bar 'barked' go sit outside and waiter will come - can one not buy a drink at a bar these days? Waited 15 mins for 2 beers outside, never got offered another, never got offered the bill - just sloppy and better service in a Harvester. 3) Dinner - drinks pre dinner - same story, grumpy head waiter, slow and miserable service. Thought hotel was beautiful but would not return until waiting staff are trained to serve and be polite.

Beautiful hotel

Just returned from a wonderful stay at his hotel, all of the staff were friendly and efficient at all times. We stayed in a ground floor garden room in the Follifoot wing and the room was really spacious and beautifully decorated. We also loved the roll top bath, Molton Brown toiletries and underfloor heating in the bathroom. We were greeted with complimentary pink cava to enjoy on our terrace which was a lovely touch. Very enjoyable dinner at The Clocktower restaurant and my husband's only complaint was that the starters were very small portions but the main courses made up for it. Can't wait to visit again.

Great Hotel and Service

Amazing service and first class hotel. I booked this hotel for my 10th wedding anniversary and can only say the all round experience was wonderful. Thanks to all at Rudding Park, particularly for the upgrade to a suite which was very unexpected but a real treat. The best hotel that I have stayed in by far.

Super place to stay for a short break

EXCEPTIONAL ,.... great food, lovely location.... Staff , could be a little more organised in the restaurant , as while service was pleasant , certain things were forgotten at times. Also , although room standards& cleanliness was very good , little details , like replacing glasses ... replacing tea-bags etc, were overlooked occasionally. Will still go back , we love it.

Fantastic staff and excellent for private party

We had a family anniversary celebration and dinner for 20 including 2 small children. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind- the rooms and food were wonderful and we had amost enjoyable weekend! The children were made especially welcome with small presents in their room and we had a bottle of champagne in ours

Excellent Family Wedding

wonderful experience from start to finish all the staff were curtious and helpful, the whole stay was very warm and comfortable.
