We had a good stay with the staff being the highlight. They were very patient, courteous and friendly. They helped when we needed it, including bringing up soy milk and other items we needed in our room. The bar was a lovely place to hang out.
The room was nice and was well provisioned.
The downsides were the bed sheets (no fitted sheet, so it crumpled up and made it uncomfortable), the noise from rooms above (recommend requesting the highest floor), noisy fan (I had to bang it to stop it squealing), dirty windows (clouding the amazing view of the bridge), and housekeeping not topping up the tea bags/coffee pods we used (room service brought them though as soon as we called).
Overall, I'd say it's a 4 star hotel, not the 5 it is claiming. It's quite expensive for what you get, but the location is pretty incredible and, of you like historic buildings, it ticks that box well.
