Room smells like mildew. Dirty towel left in bathroom. Used soap and hair in bathtub. Pool was nasty. Only one towel and washcloth, had to ask for additional. No hand towel or bath mat.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting! The non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, the fixtures in the bathroom were hanging out of the wall, there were sketchy people walking all around the property, overall it was just terrible place! I would not recommend this hotel at all!

Its run down and needs major renovation. The phone in the rooms fall apart and dont work. Noone is at the help desk when u need them.The room was not clean nor the toilet. The shower/tub needs to be replaced Worst stay I ever had its not worth the money. Only stayed one night.

I hate leaving negative comments, but the place is very ran down. The lobby and rooms had a bad odor, the refrigerator didn’t work, key to the room didn’t work either, also there was no batteries in the remote. The location is very convenient to the college, but overall if traveling with a family I wouldnt recommend.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The property itself felt run down and dirty, and the room was even worse. The sheets had visible stains, the furniture was dirty and heavily worn, and the bathroom was not clean. Many things in the room were broken or in poor condition, including the TV and several bathroom fixtures. The entire room also had a strong moldy smell that made it very uncomfortable to stay in. While the air conditioner did work, it was extremely loud throughout the night. Honestly, if it had not been so late when we checked in, we would have left and driven back home instead of staying. Overall, the hotel was poorly maintained and not a pleasant experience.

Do not stay here! I checked in and drove around to find my room. Many shady looking men were just lingering around outside and just staring at my car; felt very unsafe so I left and didn’t even stay in the room.

Our one night stay was last minute but the pictures on line do not describe the Quality Inn. We checked in and going to the room and using the key we encountered people were already in the room. Went to office and got a second room key to discover the a/c was not functioning properly. Tried to call the front desk and the phone was not even plugged in. No cord. I had to walk again to the office. Also bathroom issues with the toilet seat not properly attached to the bowl. We went to a lovely college graduation to this mess. For the price it should be much better than this. You should check up on the hotels before adding them to your list.Will not stay at any Quality Inn.

Starksville Mississippi Comfort Inn

There was a mixup for my reservation for my one night stay .. it was cancelled not by me and no fault of the hotel manager or desk clerk it was due to third party resevation company ..The clerk ,manager and i got it all worked out good thing i had my email conformation and my credit card app to show when and when tranactions were done .i had made the 4 hour trip from west Tennessee to starksville Mississippi with my elder mom for family members graduation they took my information i had a was able to make sure we got a room .She was very nice about the situation told me relax we make sure you have good stay and see your family member walk that stage.upon check out the same two were on duty and asked how our room and stay was and asked about our graduate and wished her best luck for future ..

The worst place I've ever stayed - rooms smell like cigarettes, disgusting, black marks from smoke above the bed - requested non-smoking, went to ask to change the room, I was told I'm lying, I'm the 1st ever complaining, they offered me a airfreshener - which was just lysol disinfection, had to go to dollar general to buy my own shower stuff(no soap, no shampoo), the front desk dude which this is the worst - brought us towels with pubic hair inside them, I had to go to the front desk, showed it to the guy and he just pointed some towels at the corner and told me to grab it, bathtub had somebody hair in it, floors full of water and I the toilet was filthy, I asked for my money back and I was told he can't return it ! I was so upset - I hope nobody else goes there - I'll never in my life go there again !

Absolutely disgusting. I don’t write reviews unless it’s imperative to share with others. This place looks just fine on the Expedia website, however it’s deceptive. I have never in all my 53 years have ever stayed in anything that was this bad especially after paying $170.00 for one night!!! It was unsafe and definitely not up to code! I will be calling the health department as well as the city code enforcement. I have pictures. I drove 13 hours to help my niece check in to her dorm and had my sister, who is sick with stage 4 cancer with me. I freaked out when I walked in to check in. It was gross!! I was immediately put off, and could not cancel. I called around and every place was at capacity so I had no choice but to stay my sister was exhausted and in pain and needed to lay down. I had to go to cvs to get cleaners and sanitizers before I would allow my sister to lay in the bed or use the bathroom. It was absolutely disgusting!! The lights would flicker off and on, electric wall sockets didn’t have coverings and had wires exposed, the sheets literally had blood stains on them! This place should NOT have been allowed to be in business! Expedia should not have them on their sight and Quality Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this property. This is more like a rent by the hour place to see TV shows rather than a $170 hotel!

This is an old hotel in not good condition. The room, the bed and towels were fairly clean, but the floor was gritty. Plugs were old and the bathroom one was hard to plug into. Lighting was not good. There was no fan in the bathroom. The worst thing about this was how it was run. When we called to check for availability, the desk clerk did not communicate well. When we arrived we realized he was a high school student and though he was polite and helpful seemed too young to be managing a front desk. The lady who was there the next morning was terrible. We went for the breakfast about 20 mins before 9am but it had already been closed and cleaned up. The front desk clerk was on her phone with a personal call, didn't even look up and acknowledge us until we approached and then just quickly said "He gone. He cleaned up and left." No politeness. The night before when my husband went to get ice at the machine, someone had vomited on the floor in front of it. He went to the manager at the desk which was, at that time, an older man. The man sheepishly said he knew about it and needed to go clean it up. Not really an apology. Not a good hotel. We wouldn't recommend it.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel. There were multiple roaches in our room, which made it feel unsanitary and unsafe to stay. Because of this, we ended up leaving early and driving home instead of staying the night. This was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this property based on the cleanliness issues.

Management was extremely nice, we got in late so late check in. We were supposed to have a suite on the 1st because I had surgery on my foot. Wright I’ll be on lunch end then tomorrow. To accommodate he gave us 2 rooms to accommodate not going upstairs. However, my room smelled like smoke everything in the room such as sheets and bedding and I’m allergic to smoke because it was so late and being tried I stayed in that room.room 111. Great people but the room was to the extreme Smokey.

Good, but two problems

Everything about the place was great except for two issues - I was on business and the WiFi wouldn’t work the night of my stay or the morning. Had to use my hotspot. And for some reason, the housekeeper tried to get me to let her clean the room before I checked out. But the room was great and people were friendly. Good location for what I needed.

The chair in the room was so dirty we didn’t even sat on it. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly but that’s the only thing nice I can say about it

good location, close to university and cotton district for entertainment. Going thru renovation but room was all updated with new floors, beds, 32 in tv, and very clean bathrooms. Slept very well and was as comfortable as hotel I paid twice as much the day before. Breakfast was included and had a good selection to pick from. Because of exterior renovation, outside is a bit dusty, but everything else was near perfect.
