We had a non-functioning fireplace which was a huge reason I booked a king room 2 bedroom, and so we asked to switch room with a fireplace that worked. We were told we could switch to a different room on night 2 but then they changed us to a one bedroom when I paid for a 2 room. Then we were switched the third time to a room with a pullout out bed. What?!! This really impacted our trip moving around so much and not getting what we paid for. Such a bummer.

The cabin was wonderful! Small fridge and electric kettle in the cabin, small walk to community center for wifi, gas firepits, ice machine, and shared microwave. Definitely one of the best places we stayed on our trip!

We love Big Sur and the Big Sur Lodge. Our room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. HOWEVER, we ran out of toilet paper and had to use kleenix on our last morning there. We also had to ask for clean towels and more coffee bags earlier in the week.

The onsite dinner was nice. Best feature was how quiet it was, and my run the next morning. The trail was as close as one could imagine it, and offered great views.

The Luke warm water in the shower was not great and the water in the shower didn’t drain properly. Room was clean , beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good but over the top price wise . Regards, Margot VanderCapellen

Be prepared for no wifi and no tv's in lodges/rooms Pool could be a tad warmer considering it is not usually warm outside. Main lodge was useful for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. It is more expensive because of the cost to get food in there, which is understandable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of great marked trails nearby for hiking.
