This was a good place! Convenient to the beach and with well appointed facilities overall. The Mzima apartments are larger, but on the last night I tried a unit in the Mzima House (smaller but beautiful). The pool was so inviting. Also had a dinner delivered to the room and it was quite good. Overall, I was quite happy.

Great stay! The food was delicious, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool was clean and relaxing. The staff were friendly, and the room was spotless. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel market itself as a 5 stars resort, at least that's what it shows on Google map. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 star that maybe years ago was better maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and willing to help. Facilities and amenities are not superb, I'd say good enough. We've had only one breakfast and two dinners. They don't have (yet?) a communal area where they serve dinner, so they tend to cater guests in their rooms. We used the swimming pool a couple of times, it was clean enough. We even used outdoor gym once and that was okay. We did not use the spa. We used the airport transfer service for about 50 usd each way, which is a reasonable price. Wyclef the chef was very nice the evening we had our first dinner: basically no one had informed us about the fact that they expect guests to let reception know by a certain time (around 6pm) what they want for dinner. We didn't know that. So we waited until 8pm and we showed up at reception, nobody was there and apparently most of the staff had already gone home. So the chef himself took the order, cooked for us and attended our table. It was very nice of him, but it honestly felt a little weird for us, as we felt like we were doing something not right. So I'd say that reception and staff in general should communicate better both to the guests and among themselves. Location is good, close to the beach but expect 5 minutes walk to reach it if you're in one of the suites on top of the resorts.

What I liked the most was where the hotel was placed. The big garden and the direct access to the beach. The people who worked there where very polite and kind.

A quiet retreat on a beautiful beach. My room was self catered, and I enjoyed traveling into town by taxi or tuk tuk for shopping. Next door on the beach is a classic surfer bar and restaurant.

Perfect

We stayed here five nights with our family with three kids. During our stay, everything was made for us to have the most wonderful experience. The apartment is large and has all the amenities you want and the two bathrooms makes it really comfortable in terms of organization. The pool water is pleasantly warm and Charles will take real great care for you to have the best time. He even got us extra balls and rings for the kids to play with. You can even ask for a smooth cup of coffee that Joseph will bring with a smile. The WiFi cuts off from time to time, but from our global holidays in Kenya, it was one of the best. With an open way to the beach and a good for take out restaurant next to the hotel, I can’t think how our stay could have been better. I highly recommend this place and I really wanted to thank Danson for organizing everything from A to Z during our stay! Thank you 😊

We recently checked into your hotel and unfortunately encountered several issues during our stay. Upon arrival, we were informed that because we hadn’t pre-booked breakfast, no meals would be available the following day—even if we wished to pay for them—due to an event taking place. We explained that we needed access to food due to health conditions, but no alternative solution was offered. Additionally, we were promised a water dispenser that never arrived. Later that evening, the air conditioner began leaking, creating a large puddle of water in our room. To make matters worse, there was no phone in the room to contact reception for assistance. We eventually had to switch rooms late at night, which caused further inconvenience. Thankfully they located us to a much better room - no longer flooding. It is a beautiful place for events and wedding.

I feel I was misled by the photos. We were in a different building than what I thought from the main photos. The building is in need of repairs. We experienced, wifi outage - including a message when we tried to connect that the account was suspended for non payment. We were without water for an afternoon, the ac in the bedroom was not working. I have photos I can share showing the poor condition, including one of windows with boards over them presumably because the glass was broken. Paying over $300 a night I would have expected much more. I feel like I was ripped off.
