We arrived late in the evening, and the chap on reception was not friendly and appeared to know nothing about our booking. Asked us to move away until he found a manager. When the manager on duty finally arrived, he suggested that we had not paid. I assured him that we had booked and paid, and could provide proof. Then he decided it was ok. Took forever, and we were tired. Finally we got to our room and were preparing for bed, we discovered the toilet was broken. This took another 40 mins to sort. Eventually, relocated to another room. Pillows were really hard. Bathroom very small and minimal surface space for toiletries. Toilet, had a very unstable seat. Needed to have hinges tightened. Breakfast the next morning was good, and the food and beverage manager in the dining room, seemed to be the most enthusiastic person working at this hotel, friendly and making sure that people were looked after. Overall, was underwhelmed, except for breakfast. Staff at this hotel would benefit from a boost of customer service training .
