Limestone cliffs rise dramatically from turquoise waters, creating a seascape that feels almost too perfect to be real. Hop on an island-hopping tour to discover hidden lagoons and secluded beaches throughout Bacuit Bay. Snorkel among vibrant coral gardens where tropical fish dart between your legs. Kayak through secret coves only accessible during certain tides. The beachfront restaurants in town serve the day's catch with toes-in-the-sand simplicity. Seven Commando Beach offers powdery white sand without the crowds of El Nido Main Beach. For the best views, tackle the short but steep climb up to overlook Corong Corong Beach at sunset. Unlike many Asian beach destinations, you won't find massive resorts here—just small hotels and a refreshing absence of chain establishments.
"The location was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival to get upgraded to a Sea/Mountain view villa, and the accommodations were very nice! This definitely enhanced our 7-day stay. Housekeeping were on top of things, and kept our room clean and tidy. Had one small issue with the hot water disappearing one day, but as soon as we notified staff they were on it and fixed it immediately. The only area in which our experience would have been enhanced is an expansion of the menu. All of the Filipino dishes were very good, but the menu was somewhat limited, particularly for breakfast. If your stay is only a couple of days this likely won’t be an issue, but for a week a bit more variety would be nice. However, this was not enough to take my rating down to a 4. There are too many other great things that make the Matinloc Island Resort well worth visiting. We would definitely return for a second visit. Will try to post a few pics if I can once posted to Expedia. Words alone don’t do the place justice."
"This place was magical. Rooms were gorgeous - the view!!! The overall resort was so well maintained, staff were constantly cleaning. The only downside (and no joke from other reviews) was the stairs. BUT you can only get the views from climbing up 😀. It is a walk through their little shops, through the beach and tons of stairs which made it a little bit of a trek for mt elder parents but honestly so worth it! Very much recommend thia place"
"Our stay at Seda Lio was fantastic. The staff were consistently friendly and courteous, contributing to a very welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options and was quite enjoyable. The beach and other amenities were excellent and well maintained.
The only minor issue we encountered was slower service at the restaurant. On one occasion, we waited over 30 minutes for halo-halo and were not informed of the extended wait time until we were about to leave. Aside from this, our overall experience was very positive.
Despite the pool being under renovation during our stay, we would definitely return. Special thanks to Karla (receptionist from breakfast buffet) and the front desk staff member whose name begins with “F” (I think Floren), who was exceptionally helpful and truly went above and beyond to assist us."
"My 2nd floor room had a beautiful balcony view directly facing El Nido Bay. The room was clean. There was only one lock on the door. I'm used to double locking and latching. The staff was polite, helpful and friendly. Since the hotel was right on the street, you can hear everything. Stair access only to 2nd floor. I like the location because its not in the middle of Calle Hama so it doesn't get crowded in that immediate area. I'd stay here again. "
"The staff is very helpful. Breakfast and the other meals (and drinks) were quite tasty. Walking distance to El Nido town without being in the busy area. The hotel is located on a busy street but the hotel owner has done a wonderful job of putting in a pool and a nice enclosed garden area that blocks out the noise. We would start here again if we ever get the chance to return to El Nido. "
"The room was big, good shower with hot water, mini fridge in room and bottled water, our room view was amazing. A short tuk tuk ride to food places, close to the boat tours. Breakfast was just ok. The front desk tried quoting me triple the price I was told to get to the airport. I would stay here again. "
