According to the representative i eventually got around to speaking to from Expedia, this hotel actually did not honor my reservation that I made same day. On an evening I am certain they were far from full booked. No one communicated this to me after I booked. I arrived, tired from hiking, about 90mins after making my reservation that said it was confirmed and paid for (same day or day prior bookings require upfront payment). They said they didn't see my booking, but apparently something else was going on. I have no idea if the front desk girl knew or not, but she did say at the end that she "wasn't supposed to talk to Expedia reps if they call". So shady. First time it ever happened to me, and between that and the weird way it was handled, I'm willing to believe it was the hotel's fault. But Expedia could have handled the situation a lot faster. It took nearly an hour of back and forth messages to credit my account. Ended up being so exhausted by the time I checked in down the street about 70 mins later than I expected.
