Shilo Inns used to be "Affordable Excellence", now they are just crap. At least the one in Bend. When we checked in, the clerk would only give us one key, saying that they were running out. We checked the next day with a different clerk who said they had plenty. We had to ask for an additional glass and towels. We had a kitchenette unit, but the only wastebasket was in the bathroom. Absolutely no utensils. The room and grounds are in disrepair - like they haven't done maintenance in years. A pretty property, but a really disappointing stay. Finally, when we checked out, I asked for a receipt. Even though I paid at the hotel, I was informed that since I booked through Hotels.com that I would need to contact them for a receipt. Hotels.com says that since I paid at the hotel, I would need to get a receipt from them. I've called four times and finally gave up. I do not recommend.
