What a beautiful property! We love the views, hiking & outdoor options.
Pros-front desk staff were amazing & very helpful, onsite shuttle to help you get around the property that runs most of the day, onsite restaurants with great staff, cornhole & smores outside, great views, soft beds, clean rooms & just a nice atmosphere.
Cons-no a/c but has fans, we didn't pick our room-they assign your type of room based on number of people & since we had two teens we got a room with a bunk bed which my oldest son hated but it was very comfortable. Room was not ready at check in but was soon after.
The only issues we had we aren't sure if it is just us & how we interpret things as southerners, but our experiences with the shuttle drivers was not pleasant. We rode with Sandy several times & at first just thought she was blunt & direct which can sometimes feel rude. But then we rode with her with other riders that were older than us (closer to her age) & she was chatty & friendly. Our cabin had the actual shuttle drop off but she dropped us at the other people's cabin & told us to walk to ours. Not a big deal for us of course, it's just across the circle but it kind of felt pointed with the other feelings we had. Another situation, we were coming to the lobby, no one was there except a shuttle & my husband was going about 10mph because we didn't see the 5mph sign. The shuttle driver stuck her head out the window & screamed at him to slow down.
