Dirty, needs renovation!

DIRTY ROOM! Nasty stuff found by bed, shower not clean, burn holes in blankets, broken furniture, smoke detector broken & no battery, parking not plowed, and gross smell.

Descent hotel for the money

For the money it was great huge rooms close to all kinds of food even had a great Chinese restaurant in the same parking lot

Dog Show

It did not have a nice exterior, ground looked unkempt, the stairs to the 2nd floor were not filled, dangerous. The room was small, and did smell of smoke even thought it was supposed to be smoke free.

The room was filthy and uncomfortable. I used my tshirt as a pillow cover because the sheets were so gross. I've stayed in cleaner and more comfortable hostels in Africa. The staff were incredibly slow to check me in and check me out.

Gave manager a list of things that needs attention The manager only charged me half for the room for the trouble & concerns I had during my one night stay

you get what you pay for. The young guy at check in was very friendly. Other then that, this is probably the worse hotel I ever stayed at. Very small room, very very outdated, comforter had huge holes in it, the bed was small and so uncomfortable, the floors were dirty. The door wouldnt shut tight. honestly, not a comfortable stay.

The hotel was clean, but older. Staff was friendly. The beds were uncomfortable, and there wasn't enough room to open the sofa-bed.

seen better days

the hotel was old and tired out. Time for a face lift. The bed was uncomfortable and even though it was supposed to be a queen it was too small to actually be one. The towels all had old coffee stains on them ... Please let it be coffee stains. You could see daylight around the wall a/c unit. The refrigerator had standing water on the shelves from the freezer melting. The pool was drained so we couldn't swim. You could hear people in the rooms above and beside us talking as if they were in the same room as we were. I found 3 old ink pens behind the night stand when I went to plug the iron in and tons of dust in the corners so it'd been awhile since they'd cleaned behind things. Both room key card stopped working and had to be reprogrammed. But the staff was so nice.

Was double charged for rooms, paid at hotel per owner and billed at Hotel.com, a disaster of a mess! Reported to the Credit Card company.

Needs facelift but clean.

All the essentials were there and the room was large but way out of date. The phone and TV did not work but my husband did call front desk with his cell and they explained how to check if cable box was connected and we did get TV with their help...important to hear the local news for us old timers!The room was so big with two queen beds and a sofa. It would be great for family as it even had a small dining table and chairs but very old furniture.

Not to Great

Very bad odor when we walked in the room. We couldn't adjust the air or heat to a comfortable level. I tried to take a shower in the morning, ran hot water for about TEN minutes (not exaggerating ) until it got hot.

Dilapidated, run down

Would not recommend , bed very uncomfortable, room was 62 degrees with the thermostat set on 85 , tub filled up while taking a shower , dead flys lying on the floor

Cheap hotel that is exactly what you pay for. Good for a one night over nighter stop. Breakfast selection better than expected

Adequate

A large property with few guests = inexpensive stays. Very convenient if you are doing work with Dow or want to stay in an area with convenient dining and shopping. Pi's Chinese buffet is next to the motel as is Tim Horton's. Tip-get your morning coffee at Horton's.

Midland Econ Lodge

First, It was not the 12.8 miles from Mt Pleasant that I was quoted in the Expedia website. It was 30 miles and a 40 min drive. The Econo was probably built in the 50's and not much has been updated. We were put in the very back section and the place was less than half full. Upon opening the door, we were assaulted with the odor of cleaning product mixed with a musty odor. The bedding was clean (first thing I check before even brining luggage in) the room was 2 doubles with a pullout, fridge and microwave. It features a "Continental" breakfast that was a joke. The coffee was luke warm at best. 2 kinds of cereal and bananas that had more spots than yellow. Went to warm coffee in microwave in the room, all lights and TV dimmed. We didn't need to be back to CMU until 1:00. Left motel at 7:30. Was hoping to get a good night sleep, as we had been up since 5:30, the beds were like sleeping on a soft rock. Not recommended.
