Bästa läge med hänförande utsikt

Lugano/Paradisos bästa läge med en hänförande utsikt. Smakfull inredning av rummet. Det var dock något år sedan senaste renovering. De tog hand om bilen och parkerade den i säkert garage, så att vi kunde lämna det bagage vi inte behövde i bilen. Vi trivdes mycket bra.

Great hotel near lake lugano

Great experience, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Centered very close to lake lugano and san salvatore. The only drawback was old air conditioning which was not enough during day time. Would love to stay here again in future.

Great view, expensive and won't return...

Lugano is a very beautiful town. The Hotel Hotel Eden is a bit a tired - the star rating is not really warranted and not not really worth the cost. Most of the staff were very polite and accommodating, though I was extremely disappointed that the evening duty manager for reception would not provide a complementary bottle of water and requested a $10 CHF payment, which I refused. I found his behavior very unprofessional.

3 Star hotel with rude staff

We had two rooms and all comments apply to both rooms so this was not an exception! Hotel appears as if it is in a timewarp with no evidence of renovation other than the bathrooms since the 1980s with clearly visible signs of deterioration on the outside and inside. Air Conditioning does not work! Ants on bathroom floors, hard mattresses and hard pillows. bar is a ghost town and not even staffed. Dinner staff rushed us through pricy dinner because we went to dinner at 10:15 even though the front desk told us upon arrival that the restaurant is open to receive guests until 10:30. Buffet beakfast was also rushed when we arrived at 10:15 and does not include omelettes. Upon checkout, front desk staff added taxes and more than 70 CHF in movie charges we did not incur. Would not believe that my taxes are supposed to be included and had to show my Expedia receipt to remove the taxes. Also refused to remove the movies and accused me of dishonesty in front of my children until I proved per their delapidated TV system records that the movie charges were incurred 45 mins prior to my check in time which made me wonder, why were there movie charges in my room 45 mins before my check in time at 11pm? Asked for the manager but front desk staff refused to call the manager and gave me a very hesitant apology after being proven wrong. Cannot imagine why a hotel like that is rated 5 stars in Switzerland! It should never be rate above 3 stars!!! Otherwise wonderful location and view

الموقع ممتاز لكن الغرفة فيها نمل وحشرات ونوع فرش السرير غير جيد وغير مريح ودورة المياه الشور ضعيف، أما الافطار ليس جيد ، وبالتالي السعر لا يستحقه للأسف

Avoid..AC non functional

Air conditioning was not working in the room. Staff was non-cooperative.. No service team / mechanical / technical staff was present. Had to haggle with the Front Office to change the room on a different floor although same result - non functional AC.. Hotel did not even have fans as backup

Hôtel très bien situé au bord du lac avec un très joli balcon sur le lac à 15 min de marche du centre Attention demander les chambres côtés lac, les autres chambres ont une vue sur la route!

Worat experience of my life!!!!!!!

Pathetic experience. Staff very very rude. Charged me a hefty amount without notice for not leaving the room clean. No air conditioner in room. Staff kept on lying that they would switch it on next morning. Overall a must no-no for me and my family.

Hotel mit super Lage

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine grosse Enttäuschung war der Spa. An einem Abend wurde im Pool ein Schwimmkurs für Kinder durchgeführt. Von Ruhe und Erholung somit keine Spur. Zudem standen für das gesamte Hotel nur ca. 10 Liegestühle zur Verfügung. Der Hamam ist einfach ein Dampfkabine und die zwei Saunas sind eher klein. Aber was eigentlich fast unvorstellbar ist, ist dass die Sauna mit dem Nacktbereich nicht abgetrennt ist. Jeder der zum Pool geht, oder an der Rezeption wartet, hat freien Blick zur Sauna. Das ist sehr unangenehm, wenn man nackt aus der Sauna kommt.

Traumlage und preiswert

Das Hotel tront an der Promenade von Lugano über allem. Die Einrichtung erinnert an malerische Zeiten der 90er-Jahre, vermag aber noch immer zu überzeugen. Frühstück, Sauberkeit etc. alles einwandfrei, Lage wie erwähnt einmalig, wobei man schauen sollte, dass man ein Zimmer im Hauptgebäude mit voller Seesicht erhält. Ein einziger Kritikpunkt: Der Fokus des Hotels liegt auf Gästen aus dem mittleren Osten. Das ist aufgrund des Wachstums dieses Kundensegments verständlich. Allerdings sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass diese Gäste keine pausenlose Besserbehandlung erhalten, nur weil sie anspruchsvoller auftreten. Bspw. bei der Platzwahl beim Frühstück wurden wir im Gegensatz zu arabischen Gästen nicht danach gefragt, ob wir draussen Platz nehmen möchten. Eines dieser Details, die man leider nicht vergisst. Kurz: Unbedingt besuchen, aber schauen, dass man ebenfalls voll zum Zuge kommt. :-)

1) Kostenloser Shuttle-Service: Der Shuttle-Service vom Flughafen ist vermutlich nur dann verfügbar, wenn man ihn rechtzeitig vorher bucht. Das erfährt man jedoch erst am Flughafen, wenn man im Hotel anruft und nachfragt, ob der Shuttle jetzt kommen könnte. Aber selbst bei einer Buchung von 24h im Voraus, kam mein Shuttle 13 min zu spät. An der Rezeption - die mit dem Fahrer telefoniert haben - hat es immer nur geheißen, der Shuttle wäre in 1 min da. Kundenfreundlich geht anders. 2) Zimmer: Mein Zimmer war zwar sauber, aber ich hatte Ameisen im Bad (6. Stockwerk). Als ich mein Zimmer betreten habe war es durch den strahlenden Sonnenschein extrem aufgeheizt. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es zwar, ist jedoch in der "Heizperiode" (Mai) nicht verfügbar. Offene Balkontüre => Baustellen- und Straßenlärm. 3) Kostenloses Frühstücksbuffet: übersichtlich aber ausreichend, die Säfte kommen aus dem Tetrapack, die frischen Früchte waren trotz Mai geschmacklos und Spiegeleier hätten 10,- CHF Aufpreis gekostet.

good or biz; good location

All if good = "+" big room ; "+" Nice lake View/ "+ free wifi - and normal speed inyernet; the only problem is "-" the Price - too high ; and very hight rate for parking / i was begining November - low season - the hotel was almist empty - I estimate 30% max occupation
