This was my first stay at this hotel and these are my observations/experiences
PROs:
Location
The hotel is very centrally located—great for city access, shopping, dining, and events. If you’re in Birmingham for a night out or a business meeting, this location is very convenient.
Cons:
Overpriced for What You Get
While a few nights were decently priced, overall, the cost was too high for the basic level of service and amenities provided.
Parking Is a Nightmare
Due to the central location, parking is limited, complicated, and generally not ideal for guests, especially those needing easy access or visiting by car.
Very Basic Facilities
The hotel is passable if you just need a place to sleep and shower, but it lacks comfort or additional services.
Ventilation & Comfort
I spent most of my stay in the accessibility room which had no windows, disorienting and poorly ventilated—especially difficult for long stays or guests with health concerns. Also, it was not fully accessible as there was no walk-in shower, just a bathtub which means guests with mobility challenges suffered further challenges when needing a shower.
Inconsistent Staff Communication
Different staff members gave conflicting answers, and despite notes in the guest file, basic service expectations were not followed through.
