TLDR;
APPEARANCE: Typical downtown ATL however Brookhaven bought DoubleTree and is in the process of converting their signs and covered them making the hotel look abandoned.
PARKING: Free, but full. Extra empty parking in the back with no issues getting out.
SERVICE: Clerk was slammed by people needing things, had to wait in line. She was still friendly and helpful. Wanted early check-in but the room wasn’t ready yet, came back slightly later and she got me in early. Asked me what my stay was for.
ACCESS: Four elevators but always conveniently empty and operating. Their floors were gross, so be sure to wipe your shoes before entering your room. Access Card worked just fine.
ROOM APPEARANCE: I got corner rooms next to exit stairs, but mostly quiet. Giant window views the interstate and will constantly make sound. Window is accessible in allowing you to open the sound guard and crack the window 5”. Everything was clean and organized.
LINENS & TOWELS: All permanently stained but smelled and felt fresh.
BATHROOM: Toilet seat was chewed up, but clean. Shower had no visible mold on walls or curtains, no smelly water, amenities provided inside shower.
EXTRAS: Coffee, soap bar, 2 water bottles, ironing station, safe, hairdryer, ice bucket, 3L, 2M, 2S towels + floor towel
BED: 5/10 - stiff but plush, good for two night stay but not extended.
FRIDGE: Clean. 1st room, fridge was broken. Was given a new room exactly the same w/ same review.
BREAKFAST: Simple but great quality!
