the staff was excellent, helping me carry our (large) grubhub dinner order out to the courtyard. they were friendly and asked several times if we needed anything. they were always at the front desk (sometimes at hotels you cannot find the front desk staff, especially when the hotel isn't busy). the courtyard area and pool were nice.
the rooms are basic and smell ... odd. i asked about it and was told it's because the hotel needs remodeling/upgrading. the rooms are old and smell as such, said the staffer.
the hotel was quiet, the beds (full size, not queen) comfortable and it's nice each room has access to the outside with a sliding glass door (as well as the interior entrance).
several restaurants are within walking distance, including delmonico's, a Japanese restaurant and 5 guys.
the pool is noisy and shallow, but gets the job done if you have kids in your group.
