Absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Expedia told us this was a pet friendly hotel, so we booked the ocean view room on the top floor. As it turned out, pet friendly rooms are only on the ground floor and the one we got smelled so bad of urine it burned our eyes. The hotel also warned us to be sure and keep the door locked as they have had breakins recently. Expedia told us it has a restaurant and room service. As it turned out, the restaurant was closed by authorities due to violations, hence no coffee in the AM. no Room service.
The Hotel would not allow us to make changes since it was booked though Expedia.
Lastly and most importantly, the automatic doors to enter the hotel only worked sometimes. It was so bad that we were asked by another customer if the hotel was even open because he could not get in. AND, our pet friendly hotel injured our dog because the automatic doors trapped his paw between the door and floor when it unexpectedly opened.
We had no idea that Ocean Shores is pretty much closed after Labor Day. We struggled every day to find a place to get coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything was closed (for the season).
To sum it all up, I believe Expedia charged us for the top floor King room and we ended up on the ground floor cheap room with no price adjustment.
