Room is nice. Location is amazing, but front desk customer service sucks. Room was not ready at 4pm as per their check-in time, which we can totally understand because it’s a busy time of the year. However, the front desk went straight to defensive mode- no apology, no acknowledgement and no finding way to make customers feel better. Instead, we were told right from the beginning that yes the check-in time says 4pm but it’s not always guaranteed, and that because they have limited premium rooms and people do late checkouts. I spend over 3 months in hotels every year and I can tell this is just unacceptable customer service. No matter what the excuse is to make customers wait, acknowledging that mistake and sending a sincere verbal apology are the basic courtesy. Basic! Not to mention that most hotels will get their rooms ready 1-2 hours before. Again, not the problem itself, but the attitude we received due to this problem.
