Bed - awful. Thick crinkly plastic mattress cover with nothing but a thin fitted sheet. Bed frame was some kind of aluminum box that made noise like a bedpan being dropped on the cheap vinyl flooring every time I moved.
Sheets in my first room were filthy, as was the bed cover - with pubic hair and long hair, dirt, and what appeared to be fecal stains directly from someone's backend, right in the position that correlates with where a person would sit and pivot to get into the bed. Disgusting. Mildew on the floors/baseboards; the furniture and a/c unit reeked of mildew - especially the nightstands (which were also filthy, with sticky residue from a previous occupant's beverage. Discarded beer/soda cans and bottles on the property - particularly at the edge of the parking area. Cigarette butts all over the halls/stairs. Stairs are disgusting - could use a pressure wash and coat of paint. Pet friendly hotel, but no collection points, waste bag dispensers - so there's dog sh-t to be found in virtually every green area - parking islands, etc.
When I complained to the front desk, the clerk was very pleasant and accommodating - shifted me to another room without question. The second room was still sub par insofar as the bed/toilet/furniture, but it appeared to be a lot cleaner than the first, and didn't reek of mildew. Still could use a serious deep cleaning. The ned was another industrial plastic covered POS, but I was so tired, it didn't matter.
