Check in was quick and the young man at the desk was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean . Parking was close by . All the vending machines where removed I assume because of Covid but it would have been nice if the little store in the lobby would have been open .
We decided to stay at the Delta for 2 nights over the new year's. The hotel is very nice and the room looked clean and modern. As people have mentioned, the bathrooms are quite small, but at least it looked new and clean. They provided water bottles, water, and alcohol wipes. They didn't clean the room, which worked perfectly for me and made me feel more at ease. The staff were very friendly and were wearing masks. Unfortunately parking was pricey, at $25 plus tax for in and out privileges. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, suggesting alternatives depending on how often we were planning to go in and out. That helped as we were able to spend $20 one night and $10 the next. We appreciate the help! The only issue I had was when we checked out. There were around 8 people, 2 separate groups, walking around the lobby without masks. Nobody seemed to care about the rules. No staff other than 1 person at the front was around. I didn't feel particularly happy about that. Our safety at this point should be the biggest priority. Someone should be advising people that masks are mandatory. Anyway, besides the above we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel. Thanks for a nice staycation.
Delta downtown Ottawa is a great place to stay. Underground parking takes you directly into the hotel without going outside. The hotel was deserted because it was heading into COVID lockdown, but the staff remaining on site remained professional and pleasant. The pool remained open with capacity limits in place. Both my daughters enjoyed the indoor swimming.
Love that they allow dogs and don’t discriminate against the breed. I brought my pit mix and it was perfect. Well located, well priced and very comfy.
bathroom was too small, thermostat wasn't working, fridge wasn't working properly, room was just ok.
Offered late checkout, good location, good rooms, Safe
I've stayed at dozens (upon dozens) of hotels, and Deltas are usually a good choice. I hadn't been to the one in Ottawa in a couple of years and wasn't sure what to expect - with Covid and all. As I waited to check in, I was impressed when I heard the guy tell the people in front of me that NOT paying for parking with them ($25) and just paying in the lot ($10 on weekends) was the better choice for someone not coming and going all day. When I stepped up, I told him I only heard half his conversation and he repeated it. He said, "You work hard for your money - why pay more than you need to?" I appreciated that, and other ways he handled my check in, and that made me see the hotel as "glass half full" from the get go. The room was nice, we were comfortable, we felt safe. But it was a hotel. It's hard to really separate many of them. But to the grey-haired man who checked us in Friday evening, just know that you made our stay special.
Easy parking, clean property, friendly front desk staff, nice view from room, comfortable bed, clean room. One thing that we didn’t like so much was that the water pressure in the shower was quite low.
Woke up to construction across the street. Really? Why don’t they ask if we’re ok with that?
Cozy Thank u
