I was pleasantly surprised at just how great my stay was. Especially at that price! I will absolutely stay there again the next time I'm in Monterey/Pacific Grove. When I walked to the back of the (large) room and rounded the corner, I found a table and chairs, microwave, refrigerator and sink. The balcony was being repaired, but I wasn't in Monterey to hang out in a motel. The only downside is that the parking lot was completely packed. I got the last spot and didn't have to park on Cass, the adjacent cross street in back. I can see why, though; this place is an unbelievable bargain.

The room was nice, but I purchased a 2 queens in a standard room, but received a standard room with 2 full beds…was a bit smaller, and with a big family of 4…it made it very uncomfortable…The wifi was down the whole time I was there…the pool was broken/closed…the air conditioner did not work, in place was a box fan…the workers were friendly and the room was very clean upon entering…lots of pillows and blankets was very nice…
