The Hotel is in a very nice location: a small village surrounded by a beautiful countryside. The property is maintained in a very high standard. The room that we have been given was large and it has a lovely old feeling but spoiled by a strange choice of modern ceiling lights and bedside lamps - what a shame . Bed wasn’t the most comfortable one in the world but it will do if you were so tired and in need of a sleep .The bathroom , although it was large, it looked tired and dated- a bit disappointing. The guy who checked us in was very pleasant and polite. The lady however, not sure whether she was the owner or mangers, who checked us out was too over official. She didn’t across as a welcoming person. She asked me before we left whether everything was ok? Again, she didn’t across to me she was really interested in the answer as she was busy doing something whilst she asked the question. I always believe that when you ask your guests this sort of question you need show sincerity, otherwise it will be counterproductive. The breakfast has lacked the feeling of hospitality and generosity - too mean.
Overall the stay was ok but the management needs to work on the warm and genuine welcome to their guests
