10 Great Restaurants in Turks and Caicos

Las Brisas Restaurant and Bar is in the Neptune Villas resort on Chalk Sound, about 16 km southwest of Grace Bay. Tapas is a menu highlight, but you can also find a mix of Mediterranean, fusion, and Caribbean dishes.

Las Brisas Restaurant and Bar hosts live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Diners are welcome to use the pool on the central deck of the restaurant, or rent kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and paddleboats. You can even book a private pontoon boat tour to explore the Chalk Sound National Park. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

Da Conch Shack is a long-running favourite for Turks & Caicos locals and visitors. It has an idyllic setting on a beach in the Blue Hills neighbourhood of Providenciales. As its name suggests, conch is a top choice here, and it’s brought in fresh from the sea near the restaurant. You can have it cooked in any way you please.

You’ll be able to find a good range of traditional island dishes and casual meals here, as well as some rum punch or local beer to wash it all down. The low-key vibe with picnic tables and beach shacks is livened up most evenings and weekends with live or DJ music.

Sharkbite’s name was inspired by the local nurse sharks that can be seen gliding in the waters near the restaurant on most evenings.

Sharkbite Bar & Grill serves a big range of wings with flavours like chipotle or sweet Thai chilli, as well as fresh seafood dishes including snapper, grouper, lobster, and conch. Beer lovers might want to try the local Turk’s Head brew, served on tap here. 

Bay Bistro offers local dishes and seafood presented with panache in a beachside setting. Found at the Sibonné Beach Hotel in Grace Bay, the restaurant serves up an elaborate brunch on weekends. Signature dishes include sesame-siracha seared yellowfin tuna, almond and herb-crusted grouper and Caicos grilled lobster.  

Bay Bistro is also known for its pig-roast bonfires held on full-moon nights, when the sands are lit up by tiki torches. This is a fine spot to watch the sun go down with a fresh cocktail in hand.

Sandbar Restaurant is a family-run dining spot on Grand Turk Island, along the historic Front Street in Cockburn Town. A long-time favourite for both locals and visitors, the restaurant serves tasty comfort foods like the Sandbar burger, curry chicken and wraps, along with ice-cold local brews like Turk’s Head lager.

The restaurant looks more like a simple family home that’s set right on the beach. This makes it easy for you to enjoy a stroll along the sand or a dip after your meal. Sandbar Restaurant’s prime sea views let you shift into island holiday mode, maybe cooling down with a rum punch in the shade on the deck, then lingering on to watch the sunset.

Silver Palm Restaurant and Bar is a great spot for enjoying local seafood dishes in North Caicos. While it’s close to Whitby Beach, there's no sea view here. The surrounding coconut palms give it a tropical island ambiance, nonetheless. The restaurant occupies a modest vintage cottage with a wraparound porch, small tables, wood-beam ceilings, and a long wooden bar.

Silver Palm Restaurant and Bar’s food choices range from homemade bread and ice cream to lobster and conch. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, but it’s a good idea to call ahead and place your order if you’re planning to visit in the evening.

Miss B’s Island Restaurant is a friendly place on Kings Road, near the Major Hill settlement in North Caicos. The menu changes with the seasons and there are daily lunch specials, so it’s always a good idea to come here at least twice during your stay.

You’ll find not only local seafood like conch and lobster, but also tasty baked goods such as cinnamon rolls, muffins, and johnnycake cornbread. Locals usually flock to Miss B’s Island Restaurant for its Wednesday fish fry with live music as well as Saturday-only karaoke nights.

Mr. Grouper’s Restaurant is next to the Diamond Stubbs Plaza. It’s a fine place to unwind while sampling some local fish and seafood. Must-tries include the restaurant’s award-winning conch chowder, jerk shrimp, grilled lobster tail, and – you guessed it – grouper. Its blackened grouper probably earns the most raves, but you can also try grilled, coconut-crusted, crispy, or fried grouper.

The setting of Mr. Grouper’s Restaurant is decidedly casual, with tables and plastic chairs across a wide patio surrounded by palms and bougainvillaea trees. It’s within walking distance of most resorts in Grace Bay.

Coco Bistro is firstly notable for its location, set in a large coconut palm grove in central Grace Bay. The food is just as memorable, with a range of international dishes and seafood, as well as an extensive wine and cocktail list. Among the favourites is 'conch 2 ways' with fresh Dominican pineapple, pepper-crusted local tuna, and West Indian-style shrimp curry.

Coco Bistro on Providenciales Island is easy to reach on foot from the resorts around Grace Bay, but there's parking on-site if you prefer to drive there. Reservations are essential for dinner.
