Muryeongarioreum, or Muryeongari Parasitic Cone, served as the filming location of the 2012 film A Werewolf Boy, a love story between a girl sent to the countryside for convalescence and a feral boy. When it rains, the atmosphere takes on a particularly dreamy hue, making it even more special. Forget about your busy day-to-day life in the city, and return to innocence like a boy-meets-girl story.

The atmosphere in Muryeongarioreum Parasitic Cone feels mystical, like a fairy tale. The word “Yeongari” means “holy mountain” in the Jeju Language, and the name of the volcanic cone, “Muryeongari,” is said to come from the wetland filled with water (“mul”) in the crater. The view of the green pastures hemmed in by a dense cedar forest is nothing short of impressive. On clear days, one can even see cows grazing peacefully.
