"Great views, hiking trails close-by, good restaurant. Just an older property so bathroom was very small."

"Clean and quiet property. Beautiful views. Close to the caverns and downtown Luray. Short drive to the National Park. Pool wasn't open yet, but looked clean with plenty of chairs. No frills, but that's okay. I was looking for a clean, safe, quiet place to stay to go hiking, not to hang out at the hotel. Brought my own Kurig for my room and muffins & protein bars for breakfast. Nice staff. Shiva was nice and let me keep my car in the lot after checkout while we took our other car to the trails for one last hike. Thank you, Shiva!"

"We booked a two night stay for graduation weekend. There was no hot water in the hotel. I called front desk the first night and was told it was a problem with the entire hotel. This was false. Our friends on the first floor had hot water. We were on the third floor. Second day, I was told it was just a problem that was supposed to be fixed but wasn't yet. The front desk staff took my number for management to contact me. They did not."

"Can't beat the location and the view. The food in the dining room was good, if a bit salty, but service there was very slow. Kitchen had trouble getting everything out hot. Great easy to moderate hiking nearby."

"I was made uncomfortable by a large group of shirtless men (seemed like longer-term guests?) hanging around outside the entrance. If I was traveling alone i would not have stayed there. Not the hotel’s fault but if you’re a young woman traveling alone you will feel a lot better at Holiday Inn or Microtel. Other than that, room was a bit dirty and toilet did not really work. I had a reservation for 2 nights and left after night 1 if that tells you anything."

"Amazing stay in nature. Love the fire supplies provided and the coffee was tasty. The s'more's kit was an added treat. Everything was lovely especially the setting in the middle of nature. Great fire pit and when you lay in bed you just see the trees in the woods. It just was amazing. It might be nicer if there was a blackout area where you can see the stars, and if there was an extra blanket, but otherwise absolutely no complaints. Great communication with the host. Absolutely amazing stay."

"This is a beautiful old hotel. The grounds are so well maintained and beautiful. We stayed in the Theodore Roosevelt room, which was lovely with a sitting room. My only complaint was that the couch and chair were not usable. They were extremely uncomfortable., so we didnt really get to enjoy the sitting room."
