"Probably the best hotel I been too in Iceland and I booked over 5 hotels during my trip. Absolutely amazing hotel and next to a waterfall. We also sat down in the bar and had a drink. The bar/lounge area was so cozy. Rooms were clean and food/breakfast was amazing with very kind staff. I will def be booking this again when I’m in Iceland. "

"We had the most charming stay a the Lake Hotel Gistihusid in Eglisstadir. The room triple room felt like a full on apartment- it was spacious, modern, and cozy. We enjoyed access to the onsite Spa. The staff was responsive and friendly to all of our requests. Breakfast was a highlight- many options, with a lot of Icelandic influence. We dined at the restaurant for two evenings. We found the food delicious and very good value in comparison to other restaurant hotels we ate at in Iceland. Overall this was our best value stay in all of Iceland. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next tour of East Iceland."

"This place is about 20 minutes from Dimond Beach, which was amazing! The place was clean, the staff was wonderful, breakfast great. We have absolutely no complaints. I would highly recommend this place."

"Our stay was really great. It became possible, because of amazing people here. We weren’t aware that there is no public transportation or even taxi around. We don’t drive… Our dream trip was about to end without beginning… But kind big heart Alexandra helped us and drove us to Crystal ice cave meeting point and back! Overall, when our flight was canceled and we were about to cry, Ms Veronica offered to drive us to Reykjavik (which is six-seven hours to drive from here!)… I don’t have a words to fully thank those people! I can’t imagine what could we do without them?! Hotel Hofn is small, clean, beautiful with delicious food in their restaurant. I want everyone knows how good it is! I will write everywhere my story.
