This was my second time as a guest. The price/performance ratio is very good. The style of the rooms puts you in a good mood. We had a lot of fun. The staff is cheerful and up for any fun. Greetings from Jörg & Willi the tiny bulldog

The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!

8/10 Very good

This hotel is in a great location, right on the beach, close to lots of restaurants and shoppes. There are games to play in the lobby, which is fun. The only issue I had was that it is a smoke-free property however there were clearly people smoking on our floor, which made our stay less comfortable. Also, in the lobby, they would leave the sliding door open and people would stand right in the entry way and smoke constantly, making the entire lobby, including the bar and games area super smoky, which we found off-putting and nauseating. Unfortunately, the smoking everywhere was the one negative of our experience.

Easy enough to find, we stayed on a weekday so was quite enough. Car parking was very close by once you figure it out. 24 hours for £25 approx. Bit pricey. Hotel staff were excellent, spoke very good English Hotel stay was pleasant and close to the shores. Lots of little shops and food places nearby.

I was able to book my room extremely last minute, and the price was amazing and when I got to the room, it was gorgeous with two balconies on the very top floor. I could not be happier with this booking. I would’ve stayed the whole week if I knew about it earlier.

I did not like to wait for the lift which was taken over by cleaners when demand was high for breakfast. Cleaners equipment should not be in lifts at high demand times

Pay more for less

I booked at noon for the night. One hour later I receive a call that my payment was refused... In the train there was nothing I could do apart of paying at arrival... At the check in I had to pay 30 euro more... For a room where the shower is switching on every 5 minutes and a TV that switches off at the same pace... And to finish I be been awaken by a crazy cleaning machine ... What a hell
