We enjoyed the modern look and the amenities of the hotel. We also enjoyed the view immensely. What we didn't enjoy was not being informed that the pool was down. Which was one of the reasons why we picked staying at aloft of South bend. Overall a nice trip a nice day and nice staff. If back in the area, we would consider coming back

Parking was awful, especially when we were charged $25/day! Spots were not available on designated floors and too small even for our modest rental. My 87 year old mother was forced to walk farther than expected as a result. Also, two mornings in a row, coffee was empty. Our floor was filled with rambunctious hockey teams running around slamming doors.

Rooms were clean. The property allows dogs and there was dog poop on one of the lounge couches. We saw it and they immediately cleaned it up. Some women were allegedly staying at the hotel having a "pj" party and came outside to the front seating area in their underwear. Made us wonder if they were actually soliciting on the premises. Area was a little sketchy. Bartendar was very good and super friendly.

Car Broken Into and Dirty Bathroom

Usually I love Aloft, but this time my room, specifically the bathroom, was dirty, like somebody had used it for a day and it hadn’t been cleaned. Hair on the toilet, shampoo on the floor of the shower, etc. Plus my car was broken into and the front desk people could not have cared less. Thankfully two guys, Josh and Jason, stepped in and helped me out and let me borrow a shop vac to vacuum up the broken glass. They also very kindly refunded my parking fee which was very kind.

The staff is amazing. Hip, trendy hotel in downtown within a very short walk to several restaurants but the onsite restaurant was great too. The property had a great vibe with live music in the evening. And fun family game area adjacent to the lobby (jenga, connect 4, etc) along with a pool table. The swimming pool was big by hotel standards and clean. The worst part of the stay was our experience with Expedia*** our advice is to book direct with the hotel. Expedia charged us an additional guest fee for our two kids. The hotel could not figure out why they would have done that. Aloft said the room we had was priced for up to 4 people so the additional guest fee is something Expedia imposed. Expedia would not refund the fee. Book direct and enjoy your stay!

Awful. Came here for New Year’s Eve to take my kids swimming. The pool room was colder than it is outside (less than 30 degrees) we called downstairs and they said maintenance is working on it. We came down to the pool again this morning and it’s even colder. Not to mention there’s a nasty film in the pool that looks like toilet paper. The entire 8th floor smelled like smoke. The cops were up here twice knocking on doors because people were smoking on this floor. This trip ruined our New Year’s Eve as a family. There was no manager on duty to help us. Do not recommend staying here. Especially considering no one did anything at all when we asked for assistance with the pool or to move away from the smoke with my 3 children.
