We loved our short stay here. They have a wake up call option to see the northern lights which we did on our last night. That alone is reason enough to stay here, but there are many other reasons too! The attached restaurant is delicious. The vaulted ceilings in the guest rooms are a really nice feature. They have an honor system bar with beverages and snacks. They are minutes from the Blue Lagoon. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The beds are comfy and the windows open wide for fresh air.

This was a fantastic hotel with a great breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Only areas for improvement would be: 1) turn on the AC, the rooms were quite warm (and with the thermal vents so close, opening the windows could lead to a strong sulfur smell depending on the wind direction), 2) put in a pool or hot tub and 3) while the restaurant had an excellent breakfast, Max's dinner was a bit pretentious.

The hotel is well located near The. Blue Lagoon, but also unfortunately right next to a geothermal plant, which none of the photos intentionally portray. The rooms are simple and nice enough, while the bathroom is pretty bare bones - more like you’d see in a hospital room. For the cost (it was very pricey in early July), I expected a better setting and amenities. For low season, the price probably matches what you get.

The property is clean and well maintained. The front office staff is friendly and very helpful at addressing any questions. The breakfast buffet has many options available to cater to diverse tastes. My favorite was the bacon, Icelandic Skyr and oatmeal. We also liked their saunas on site and weight room. The location is very peaceful and right next to the blue lagoon. I highly recommend and would definitely return.

Staff was fantastic. The property is clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious. Gorgeous views from the restaurant. The room was simple but nice. The bed was more comfortable than expected. The blackout shades had gaps, so unfortunately during midnight sun, we had a hard time sleeping with the light coming through. The property itself is far outside of the city and taxi fares are expensive. Although the taxi service in their website was very reliable. Being next to the Blue Lagoon was convenient but other than that, there is nothing else nearby and nothing else to do.
