My stay here was incredible. A very picturesque, charming and calming place to stay. From the moment I walked in I was blown away from the ethos of the staff. From the cleaner through to the management, no-one could do enough. In particular, the attentiveness, the attention to detail, and being welcomed with a smile creates an ideal place to get away from it all. The gym is well equipped and also has; separate male and female saunas, an indoor pool and a jacuzzi. I found the beauty therapist to be very professional, knowledgeable and had an ability to make you feel at ease. As for the food, I'm speechless. I wish I had stayed longer to try the rest of the menu items, I only managed to try two. But both blew me away with the quality of the ingredients, the flavours and the fact it made me slow down to savour every mouthful!! I certainly didn't want my stay to end. I would highly recommend this establishment, can't fault it, so has to be a 10/10 from me.

I would like to review the staff as great, however The welcome was not warm, it was haughty. On our departure the staff were friendly and helpful, and polite when we made our comments. The Hotel exterior was beautiful with an inviting Garden, and plenty of parking. The Bar was a warm and cosy environment with great Bar staff. Our room was very clean, but could do with updating, and one of the windows would not open. There was Plenty of Hot water in the shower, but not much room to move, the Bathroom was very clean, but it was a struggle to turn the sink taps on and the shower off. I booked a twin room as I was away with my Mum, I understand they are the least popular rooms, but they could do with some modernising, and we had no fan. Which the Lady on reception apologised profusely for when she realised. Our breakfast was tasty and quickly delivered and the dining room a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. I would come to stay again, but I might have a conversation with the reception team about our room prior to booking.

Junior Suite was comfortable and spacious with a newly refurbished bathroom (shower over bath). There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, nice soft towels, robes in the fitted wardrobe, sofa bed made up as a bed in the adjoining lounge when we arrived. The leisure facilities are quite old but we knew this when we booked. The water in the jacuzzi was nice and hot and the pool a good size. Amy in the Beauty Rooms did a great Swedish massage and was very welcoming and friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel but had drinks in the bar both nights. Great cocktails. We would return.

A great 4 night stay. We ate at the hotel each evening, something different each night from the great menu. Mostly chosen for the surrounding area and despite a rather dire weather forecast we were out and about most days, and the spa and pool filled in one afternoon. Thanks to all the team for a great stay, we’ll miss the seats by the fire in the bar.
