Hotel could be better

Lovely room and balcony. This hotel could be fantastic. There weren’t enough sun beds. They said there was beach bar and food. That was closed. The a la.carte restaurant was closed when we arrived the buffet was £35 a head. Wasn’t very good Could only have one key to room. They said they did t have enough ! No maps of area or in for given when checked in The music by the pool was too loud and terrible taste.

The staff and property were excellent. Room service was very slow we were out of toilet paper for a full day and the one time the serviced our room they took most of our towels. Beautiful property otherwise with beautiful pools and facilities. It’s about 30 minutes from actual Chania town but they provide a shuttle that leaves at 5pm and returns at 1030pm. When we got on it was full so they arranged a taxi.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Isla Brown Chania! The staff is warm and welcoming, the environment and views are stunning. I got some spa treatments and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Book your vacation for next season, don’t hesitate. Yes, if you want to see Crete, you’ll need a car- but we loved driving and there are many wonderful places to stop and visit if you have the flexibility of a car. And we enjoyed not being in the busy town on many days. We couldn’t have been happier with our entire stay and will never forget this trip. Thank you Isla Brown!!

Perfect location

This hotel is just perfect and suits all ages. Its idyllic location is only 15 minutes from chania airport. Brand new luxury hotel with great facilities with stunning views from the spacious restaurant terrace. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had and you are clearly spoilt for choice. The Staff can not do enough for you. Greeting you with with smiles from the moment you step through the door. This hotel has thought of all the finishing touches. the whole design of the Isla brown chania is wonderful and very aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely be going back. You will need a car unless your plan is to just completely relax by one of the gorgeous pools. Or you can land in your helicopter if that’s your preference:)

Not impressed

Calling this a 5 star hotell is a legit joke. There is no system going on with the service. Realy unimpressed with the whole show lf the hotel. Beutifull place, but everything else just not up there. Looking like a 5 star hotel, but more like 3 with the service. Food was also very shabby and limites choices. We didnt even get our lunch we ordered. Cant say i want to return here with the pricepoint they are charging and with the limited service.

Hotel buildings is not prepared for bad weather. First day of lightening, thunder and torrential rain, water came through bedroom door. Rang to get towels to stem the flow. Visit to reception and another phone call, two hours or so later, still nothing. Went to reception again. Was told no other rooms available. Managed to get some towels then, told someone will come to clean up/see to problem. Was told several times – no action. Next morning, went to reception, showed young receptionist pictures. By now there was thick mud outside the door, dirtying our footwear, feet, legs and clothes (from splash back). Slippery. She apologised and said she will send someone. This was the only apology we received the multiple times we spoke to other hotel staff in person/telephone calls. After breakfast, we could see some attempt had been made to clear the mud. A groundsman arrived and said he doesn’t what to do. He had a conversation with a couple of hotel staff who was working on a nearby room to sort something out. Some boarding was subsequently placed over the now muddy pool of water. Weather affected the hotel lobby (towels placed around floor areas), outside bar was slippery. When we arrived, we were told we were upgraded from garden room to sea view. However, the main view is a building. Felt downgraded. We made the mistake of not asking questions before accepting the 'upgraded' room.

This was a nice hotel! The facilities were attractive and very amazing upon arrival especially with the amazing sunset on the large overlook. The room was nice and clean and there was a nice private balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The cafeteria was my least favorite part. The patrons were grumpy and almost feral for food while the staff was rushing just to keep up and often couldn’t. The night time routine of having people check in and then chase them down for the payment was strange especially because there was only one host and she could not handle it all. The kitchen staff were definitely not happy and made it awkward to interact with. My final concern with that are were the bees. In the morning the bees basically hover around in large numbers. There seemed to be about 3-4 bees per table. It was crazy! They weren’t aggressive, just always there always curious. lol. The place where the hotel is situated is beautiful too. Perhaps after the issues with the dining room I just could not recover enough to like it.

Luxurious but a little remote

The resort feels luxurious esp the bar area and the pool. Food is great. However, it is a bit remote and there’s nothing much around it. I guess it’s perfect for those who just want to enjoy the resort and not go anywhere.

Smukt og betagende...

Vi har tilbragt en uge, 2 voksne og en teen på 14. Stedet ligger smukt og kun ca. 20 min. kørsel fra chania lufthavn. Deres all inclucive er ganske OK og servicen er imødekommende og professionel. Vi havde et Deluxe dobbelt værelse med Sea view, hvilket kan anbefales. # pools, hvor en ligger lidt nede. Den er afældre dato men man kan opholde sig i ro, uden musik og larm. Hvor de store nyere pools, er med høj musik og mange mennesker. De har en badebro hvorfra man skal kunne bade i havet. denne var de første dage lukket pga., vind, derefter funktionsfelj! Øv, hvis man gerne vil bade i det smukke hav. De skulle vælge at lade deres personale rydde mere op, Der var beskidt og flød med gl. glads mv. ved pool områderne, specielt ved den lille. Hvor der hver dag sad en livredder, i 9 timer, uden at rejse sig med en mobil. Det ville klæde hotellet, omgivelserne og deres "stjerner". Bestemt et sted, som er værd at komme tilbage til. Bonus: en taxi koster 35 euro fra Lufthavnen. Hotellet har dagligt shuttel, til Chania 2 gange og en til Starvos strand ( meget smuk 6 min væk. ) 1 gang om dagen. Begge med retur igen og disse koster ikke noget for hotellets gæster.

Fantastiskt hotell så klart. Bra poolområde, grymt fina rum, fin utsikt. Enda minuset var att det inte fanns någon strand samt att vi hade en dålig avloppsdoft i vårt rum. Ev lite överpriset men absolut ett väldigt fint hotell.

WC-paperi loppui melkein joka päivä ja sitä sai lisää siivouksessa tai joutui pyytämään. Siivooja vei vahingossa likavaatepussin roskiin. Illallisella palvelu oli hidasta ja kaikkea piti pyytää erikseen, kuten vettä, juomia ja ruokailuvälineitä. Kaikki tarjoilu meni usean työntekijän kautta, joten se oli hidasta ja vaivalloista. Huoneet ja varsinkin allasalue olivat hienoja ja miljöö ja maisema upeita. Paras allasalue, jossa olen ollut.
