This place just reopened (under new management/ownership?), and with that comes a few things to be expected, they admitted they're not fully open just yet, and in fact, the room that hotels.com allowed me to book was not supposed to be an active listing, and Arkouda removed it a few weeks ago because the AC wasn't ready yet! (hotels.com, get your S together!)
That aside, the staff on site was exceptional, he'll have to forgive me for not remembering names, which I'm bad at, but he was very accommodating given hotel.com's mistake, and we looked at the room, which even without AC wasn't too stuffy, and it has a pretty large fan which helped a little. It being the beginning of August, temps were pretty high.
There are other little things, but those are mostly ME things since I'm very picky, but they get a free pass because A) the room wasn't supposed to be listed yet, B) they're literally in the middle of a "soft opening", and C) staff made up for everything.
We will probably stay here again on our next trip to Big Bear.
