Modern, spacious rooms with a nice balcony (i had the side view which was nice and calm). An actual down duvet. Air condition works well. The only thing i messed was a bjgger fridge. The staff are super friendly - both at the reception and the people cleaning. Location is nice. A little walk to the old town, but then you get a more calm part of the beach. Restaurants and shops right outside the door.

Fantastic stay, would stay again!

We had an excellent stay for 5 nights at Batis Beach Hotel. Our room had two balconies, and one had a partial view of the beach. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach and it's located close to many restaurants and shops. We only ate breakfast at the hotel once, but it was great. Fresh cooked eggs with yogurt, fruit, and breads. The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were always very friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions! The only thing to note is that there is no parking lot, only street parking. We had no issues finding parking spots close to the hotel, though. I imagine it might be more difficult in the summer/busy season.

sea escape

Batis hotel is conveniently located on front line to the Rethymno beach. Hotel is located about 20 min walk from the old town of Rethymno. Rooms were modern, spacious and clean, however housekeeping doesn't work on Sundays. Air-condition is in every room. Dina - receptionist was very friendly and helpful, she replied all our questions. Hotel suggested us an upgrade of room and Dina insured that we changed rooms smoothly. Thanks alot for the hotel team for making our stay very pleasant and we hope to come back next year.

I was a little disappointed with our stay. The hotel itself is very nice looking but the photos are misleading. The pool is actually in the back of the hotel on the main floor. Our bathrooms and the main hallway to our rooms smelled like sulfur. Breakfast looked good but was just ok. Beds are hard. Not a bad stay but not what I was expecting. One thing, staff were lovely.

We stayed at Batis for a week, and had a wonderful time! The staff is very welcoming, helpful and eager to help with any questions. The breakfast was also incredible, with a staple selection of bread and cretian pies, followed by an optional a-la carte dish! There was also freshly pressed orange juice, and a wide selection of coffees to choose from. About the rooms and the hotel itself, they are incredibly clean and very aesthetically pleasing, with a calming atmosphere. Our only complaint is that the breakfast/bar area often played loud club-music at breakfast hours, which we found did not fit the aesthetic of the hotel. Other than that, our stay was all in all impeccable, and we would definitely recommend Batis!

Good Hotel

Nice stay at the Batis hotel. Good location 10 mins work from the old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Across the road from the beach, where 2x sunbeds with umbrella shade for 8 euro inc a soft drink/coffee. The hotel has it's own small pool, which is quiet, sun most of the day, but there is also a shaded area. Cleaner, came to the room every other day. The room was basic, but of a good standard. Nice place, nice friendly people.

I really enjoyed my week-long stay at Batis Beach Hotel. On arrival I was greeted by the friendliest and most helpful receptionist, Dina. She offered excellent recommendations of where to dine in the evenings and showed genuine warmth and kindness throughout my stay. All the other hotel, kitchen and housekeeping staff were equally helpful and friendly. My room was impeccable, modern and comfortable. The location was perfect with a quiet part of the beach directly across the road, proximity to lots of great restaurants and easy walking distance to the Old Town and port. The breakfast was excellent too - the portions were generous and the food fresh and delicious. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

On arrival we were given a side view sea room in place of the sea view room we paid for. The reason was due to occupants extending their stay due to ill health ?Although we were offered breakfast to compensate and moved 3 days later it was very disappointing after just arriving in Crete. A 3 star hotel with 4 star customer service

A three-star hotel with easy access directly to the seashore. The pool area is in the background and we didn't use it. There is a quiet area on the roof of the hotel where you can sunbathe or for example spend time reading a book. When booking a hotel, you should be careful about the location of the balcony, if this is important to you. Although you can see the sea from all the balconies also on the side, only the ones in front face the sea directly. However, the sun almost doesn't shine on front balconies at all and there is a busy road in front of the hotel between the sea and the building. There is also a bar in front of the hotel where they play music. Our balcony was on the side and it was more peaceful, although the view wasn't as great. The hotel staff was polite, helpful and friendly. They offer help and advice and give a good customer service also in advance. They answer email/Hotels.com -messages quickly. The cleaning lady did a great job! She paid attention to the customers needs and was responsible for daily comfort. Very clean hotel! The bed was not the best but not bad either, 3 stars. The air conditioning worked excellently. Kitchen equipment for vacation ok, although the stove was peculiar and difficult to use. A couple of wishes for the hotel: a bidet shower and a microwave oven would be a good addition to the rooms. Nice and clean hotel and good location!

This is an EXCELLENT property. I HIGHLY recommend it. Unbeatable value. I've stayed in many properties across the island, including in 4* & 5* hotels. This is my favorite property. Lots of reasons why. The property features modern hotel-style suites & apartment-style rooms that have a kitchen (sink/cutlery, stove, oven, BIG fridge). Both types of room are spacious, VERY clean, a 10-minute walk from the old town, 50 meters from the beach, parking is NO PROBLEM (def. a problem in Reth.), and it's right next to multiple supermarkets and plenty of good restaurants. Very quiet: rooms are soundproofed. You can always hear the waves from the room terraces, which is soothing & dreamy. Comfy, spacious terraces. The property is family-run, which makes a big difference in the quality of stay. Management takes personal accountability for every guest's stay like an individual, not a 'number.' The staff really does care and they go out of their way to be helpful, i.e. directions, recommendations, tips, etc. They are all locals & speak fluent English. *Katerina is the diligent, generous & elegant owner, Ismini is the chic, bubbly and always-positive lass; and Aris is the clever, conscious, and detailed chap who always goes out of his way to see how you're doing. - Die Lage direkt an Strand ist perfekt. Man ist auch schnell in der Altstadt von rethymno (zu Fuß ca 20min. / Taxi 7€ per Weg) - Direkt nebenan gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, sowie auch viele Bars und Restaurants - Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. - Das gewählte Design des Hotels ist stimmig und zieht sich komplett durch. Sehr gutes Hotel, direkt am Strand. Alle Läden und Restaurants sind direkt vor Ort. Die Altstadt erreicht man gemütlich zu Fuß. Zimmer 1A sauber, groß und sehr modern (neu renoviert). Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Es war immer gute Stimmung, die Bar ist sehr entspannt auch am Strand gibt’s Musik. Die Liegen sind sehr bequem. Essen & Trinken sehr lecker. Das Hotel verdient definitiv mehr als 3 Sterne! Wir kommen gerne wieder :-) Danke!

Unser Aufenthalt war von vorne bis hinten traumhaft schön! Ein wunderschönes, modernes, sauberes und qualitativ hochwertiges Boutique Hotel in Rethymnon wo einem an nichts fehlt. Preis-Leistung bei unserer Buchung im Mai war mehr als toll. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, ich habe selten so toll in einem Hotel gefrühstückt, es ist es würdest du in ein Café gehen und dir dein Frühstück und Cappuchino bestellen können. Direkt am Strand zu liegen ist wunderschön, der Beach Club, der kurze Fußweg nach Rethymnon am Abend (ca. 20min). Aber das beste war das Team und die Angestellten im Hotel. Ich könnte jeden einzelnen Mitarbeiter nennen, alle waren so freundlich und hilfsbereit, das habe ich ganz selten erlebt. Selbst die Besitzer sind total herzlich und haben mit dem Team einen kleinen Kuchen für unseren ersten Jahrestag vorbereitet, um uns eine Freude zu machen. Das hat unseren Aufenthalt rund um unseren 1-jährigen Hochzeitstag einfach unvergesslich gemacht! Vielen Dank an dieses tolle Hotel-Team! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen das Hotel wärmstens unseren Freunden!
