I looked at the reviews before booking the Sri Lankan guy work in here is a really nice person and his food is also very good. Had three evening meals. Enjoyed everyone. The only thing to complain about was the lack of heating. Just put a small fan or a little oil radiator in the rooms. The Wi-Fi is good free Parking large comfortable room just a little bit chilly. I’m sure if they sorted this out I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Useful stay for us on our way to Cornwall to break the journey up but we could wait to leave, mould in the bathroom, a strange welcome, and the carpet felt like it had never been vacuumed. The bed was semi comfortable but not enough pillows.

Arrived at the hotel after a 4 hour journey, pub was closed. Called the number, member of staff said they’d come down and let us in but then called back 2 minutes later to say no room available. There was also no parking available despite the website saying it has parking available. Still haven’t heard anything about cancellation or refund. Do not recommend!

Don't get me wrong. Staff was very friendly, Room was clean and food was good. Unfortunaetly when is -1 outside and you turning heating off from 8pm for over the night. Room temp droping to 12 degrees. When I arrived heating was on but not, when ive returned from meal. I'was shivering all night and couldnt sleep. No one there at night to complain. Cannot recommend you guys, no matter how cheap or expensive it was, you should look after customers.

These people are not interested in their guests and do not deserve anyone's custom. Apart from the barman, the owners completely ignored us on arrival while huddled around a table with their backs to us. We had travelled over 200 miles to get there, having booked many weeks ago and paid for They left us standing there for over 40 minutes with no explanation as to why we were still waiting for the key to our room. Eventually, someone who was almost impossible to understand came to us saying the booking agent was on the phone. Only then did the say they weren't pet friendly - we had booked this using the pet friendly filter on Expedia. They were totally disinterested in the fact that we had no where to stay, were tired and very hungry after a 6 hour journey. We ended up paying almost £90 for another room, no breakfast included, so then spent another £21 on that. They were happy to take my money for drinks while knowing they weren't going to honour the booking. I will be seeking a full refund plus the additional costs incurred. I will also be reporting them to Trading Standards and the Tourist agencies.
