Good location, but not clean, and heating didn’t work. Old toiletries left in the shower, dirty marks on the floor and hairs in the sink. Heating didn’t work (no batteries in the remote and no instructions for how to work the electric heater). One light bulb didn’t work. Bed was comfy and useful to have a small kitchenette but no supplies (e.g. tea/coffee).

No desk, no housekeeping, no attention the entire 10 days. This is a rooming house. No elevator. The four flight up were hard on a 69 year old lady. The fridge and microwave were great. The location was EXCELLENT. The price was EXCELLENT. Stay here if you are INDEPENDENT as a traveler and don’t need anything from a hotel. This CHEAP room was perfect for me because I never spent any time in it except to sleep. The bathroom was like a closet and you had to take 3 steps down to get into it. The shower was a box on the wall with a telephone type cord.

The price was really low and the room was ...acceptable! Great location with pretty streets and good restaurants and coffee shops. Be prepared to carry baggage up a few flights of stairs, and to shower in a capsule bathroom. No human will greet you; check-in is all through key codes. Great for one night if you just need an OK place to sleep in London.

That was a small studio in a good place not far from the Hyde park, with small stove and small appliances inside + everything you need to make a breakfast or a diner. A lot of different stores and small restaurants around, really close to the subway station. But not the cleanest floor, broken toilet door lock, cracked walls and smoking neighbors. That's what you pay the low price for.

Pros: - Good central location - Lots of amenities and restaurants around - Room was clean, provided extra bedding - Bathroom clean - Provided ample cups and cutlery Cons - Provided no information regarding the check-in process, I had to escalate through Expedia to get some details. No information was shared with me until an hour before check-in - No reception AND no customer service available. Was told to message through Expedia but none of my messages were responded. Tried calling the numver provided but no-one answered my calls. - Wifi provided didn't work. Had to go hunting around the property to find a Wifi box that worked - Ceiling for the double bed is INCREDIBLY low, basically have to crawl to and from bed Overall, if you're desperate and need somewhere last, which was the case for me, then this is somewhat passable if you have no issues. The lack of customer service is incredibly concerning so book with caution.

Do not book this place. There are so many reasons NOT to stay here. First, they claimed we would have a double bed and a queen bed. We walked into a full bed in a loft and the smallest sectional couch imaginable. Have a suitcase? Don’t even consider it. There’s no room anywhere to open it. There’s a balcony and that’s awesome! But the problem is the couch (or the double bed I guess) is in the way of the door to open it to the balcony. The places smells. The walls are covered in who knows what. The toilet was left with streak marks in it. We stayed in here for maybe 10 minutes before deciding to just eat the charge and book somewhere else. I own up to the mistake of not reading the reviews before booking, so please don’t do what I did. I will also be contacting Hotels.com to try to take this place off or at least make them advertise it more accurately. I guess the only good side is its convenient location to the tube and Hyde park.

The only good thing that this place has is the location. The photos on the publications are deceptive. The room looks nothing like the pictures. We took photos of the room. The bathroom has a bad smell all the time and the door knob was broken. For 4 adult, is a really tight space. It is more like an apartment building than a hotel, with not reception or lobby like regular hotel.

WARNING: BED BUGS. Long story short do NOT book with this hotel. First of all, we booked for three people and when we arrived there was only one bed made for two people and only two towels available. We contacted the hotel, had to beg and complain almost the whole day. By nighttime, we had fixed our own alternative and suddenly someone knocks on the door and just drops linens and towels on me and runs away. I have never in my life experienced such bad behaviour and little interest to help from so called "hotel" staff. You can't call yourself a hotel, not have a recrption, and not answer any messagets. This is also really only the beginning. During night two we found monster bed bugs, huge, disgusting and many bugs. We tried to contact the hotel, to no avail. After a long and awful night speaking to incurance and hotels.com Hotels finally relocated us, we have not yet heard from Britannia Hyde Park Hotel PLI. We are still not "safe" this hotel ruined our London trip for us. We can't relax until we are home and can wash or freeze our stuff. This hotel should be permanently closed.
