Don’t let the construction fool you, the rooms are excellent! They are renovating and the hallways are a bit of an eye sore but once you arrive at your room you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Nicely renovated rooms including bathroom. New, clean and comfortable so if you’re looking for a nice room at a reasonable rate this is a go to for sure.

Renovations done on the site are great: everything is brand new in the room, except for the air conditioning which was too noisy for us. Corridors are not clean because there is still work underway. I did not like that the midway door was blocked unlocked, probably by smokers who did not want to need their card all the time. Ths will be a very nice place to stay once all work is done.

Cozy bed. Beautiful renovations. Staff was friendly and helpful! The hot water takes quite awhile each time to heat up. The room freshener was quite potent, very strong had to open window but overall a very nice stay.

The room was brand new and very clean. The only complaint about the room is the beds are very high. I was travelling with my mom who is 5’2- she had to use our cooler to get up on the bed. The property is going through renovations so the rest of the hotel was in rough shape. The free breakfast was ok. Again the complaint is everything is on a very high counter. Making it difficult for someone shorter to reach. The outside was very dirty. Garbage, beer bottles and cigarettes butts were all over the place. I understand the renovation mess but this was ridiculous. Take some time to clean up the outside of your property.

The room and breakfast were excellent, possibly better than your average mid-range chain hotel. I was unsure given the state of the hallway (quite dirty due to off-season renovations in progress), but was pleasantly surprised on both counts. I'd have to be in a bad mood to find anything the complain about. I liked this hotel better than ones I have stayed at in Thunder Bay on other trips. There are two good restaurants within a two-minute walk, plus the A&W across the street. I enjoyed walking on the rocks near the boat launch...gorgeous!
