Great spa & Gym

Upon checkin we got upgraded for a few dollars, not sure if it was worth the upgrade we got like some more space, but overall the room was very dated. The hotel is located in the city center, and parking was very confusing at first since you need to park on the other side of the street next to a grocery store, which we had no knowledge of prior, so we were just driving around to find a place to park until we randomly found the hotel parking spot. The hotel has a great SPA and a good gym, but you need to pay extra for a spa pass, but its well worth it. It has great location, the breakfast started to late so was unable to experienced it. The hotel feels old, but its when you go to the spa side it feels modern. Friendly staff, and we had no issues.

The people at check in: very nice & spoke English. Restaurant staff were great!!! Especially “ Bartek”. Hotel is close to all things in Roros: shops, restaurants and the Roros church + all the historic mining buildings and the train station!

I have traveled all around the world and this was the smallest room I have ever been in. The size of a closet. It was not updated to today’s standards. It was dirty and dusty the bathroom floor was cracked and the sink was all chipped up. The breakfast you had to order on line and very limited. My wife wanted a cappuccino with breakfast and they wanted to charge us for it saying only black coffee came with the breakfast. I would say this is only a two star hotel.

Rummet var rent. Personalen var kanske lite stela i utstrålningen – som om det viktigaste var professionalitet hellre än värme/personlighet. Men jag har inget att anmärka på, alltså. Bara jag som föredrar när personalen är lite mer avslappnade i mötet med sina kunder. De var som sagt professionella, vänliga och man fick svar och hjälp på det man undrade över. Väldigt fin spa-avdelning, mysig entré och ett par fina barer i anslutning till hotellet. Frukosten var bra och väldigt god, men när det gäller mängden varm mat – som man beställer via en meny – så verkar det bero på vem som jobbar på är på köket hur stora portioner man får. Beställde havregrynsgröt båda morgnarna, och första morgonen var det en ganska liten portion som dessutom var väldigt lös och vattnig i konsistensen. Dagen därpå fick jag en portion som fyllde hela fatet, gröten var dessutom fastare i konsistensen och det var generöst med tillbehör. Allt i allt är vi nöjda med vistelsen. Hotellet hade dessutom bra läge.

Madrassene litt møkkete, så ikke hyggelig eller hygienisk. Dårlig frokost i forhold til at det er spa hotell men flott at de steker omelett. For liten gaffel i forhold til kniv, så ut som dessert gaffel. Kald trekk i frokost sal på ene siden. Litt lite informasjon og hjelp i forhold til de som trenger bistand i forhold til rullator og andre som er dårlig til beins. Føler at inngang til basseng kan være med i rompris og ikke noe man må betale ekstra for. Dårlig ved innsjekk da jeg skulle få sms om ferdig rom men fikk aldri det så måtte henvende meg i resepsjon igjen etter lang tid. Hotellet ligger praktisk til i forhold til byen, bra med gratis parkering. Tross alt vil jeg vurdere annet hotell neste gang.

Personalet var veldig behjelpelige og hyggelige. Rommet var rent, badet var gammelt, men funksjonelt. Litt små og vonde hodeputer, savnet å ha en pute til pr person. Restauranten hadde et godt utvalg til frokost. Likte veldig løsningen med å bestille det man ville ha av varmretter, da får man maten fersk og varm. Resepsjonsområdet er innbydende og et hyggelig sted å sitte på kveldstid med en drink. Spa-avdelingen var veldig fin og moderne. Litt små garderober for de som velger å skifte der nede og ikke på rommet. Stort pluss at man kan bestille drikkevarer å få det servert i Spa-avdelingen da det er bare en vannstasjon. Siden spaet er reklamert med «quite zone» ble det litt forstyrrende med barn som tar «bomba» fra bassengkanten. Alt i alt er hotellet veldig fint og anbefales å bo her om man skal til Røros.
