We recently concluded our stay at the Hyatt Centric Malta and, while we were initially very excited, we regrettably found that the experience fell short of the expected standards for a five-star establishment.
There was the lack of consistent professionalism among the staff, which resulted in a service level below what we have experienced at comparable four-star properties. Although staff seemed to be trying, the service was inconsistent, suggesting potential training or management issues.
Furthermore, the breakfast was often disappointing, as the food was frequently cold and not very fresh, despite a good variety. On our final day, we felt unnecessarily rushed regarding checkout, receiving three separate calls from Housekeeping and Reception more than 30 minutes before the required time. Finally, the in-room air conditioning was ineffective, leaving the room feeling stuffy.
We did appreciate the positive aspects of the hotel, including its excellent location, proximity to shops and restaurants, and the cleanliness, layout, and comfort of the room.
In summary, while the hotel has potential, we were ultimately disappointed with the overall level of service and quality during our visit.
