The Waring House offers a truly memorable experience, and it starts the moment you arrive. The grounds are impeccably maintained — lush, inviting, and clearly cared for with pride. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest felt welcomed and well looked after.
We stayed in the Quaker Lodge, which struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. Our room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the Millennium Trail — an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine.
Dining at The Barley Room Pub and Amelia’s Garden was a highlight. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, but what really stood out was the level of service. While we did notice occasional moments where the staff seemed stretched — something a few other reviews have mentioned — what impressed us most was how gracefully and kindly each team member handled it. Their calm professionalism and friendly demeanour turned any potential hiccup into a moment of connection, not inconvenience.
Will definitely be back and I can’t say enough about the total experience of The Waring House.
