Upset with Hotels.com
It was a shock to check in. I’m struggling to walk and have to use a cane. I had to walk up a flight of stairs to the registration desk to find out my room was another room upstairs. They were saw how I was struggling walking and offered to trade my room for a room that was on the main floor. Sam also helped bring in our luggage and offered to help me up the stairs.
The room was advertised ( by Hotels.com) as having spas, massage and soaking rooms; which is why I made the reservation. The description did not say I would have to navigate 2 flights of stairs to use them. I left a message for an ADA room. Management said they sent a message to but I didn’t receive it. It wouldn’t have mattered because the reservation was non refundable.
Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Breakfast was short on selection, delicious but was not great if trying to watch your weight.
I’m thankful for the people that worked there for trying to make me comfortable. Im extremely upset with Hotels.com for not stating on the main page that there are stairs everywhere in the description. Nor did they make any effort to show the stairs in the photos; they were shortened to edit out. I wish I would have taken pictures that reflected the true conditions.
