At check-in, there was no salutation. I was never asked for ID or who I was. They led me straight to my room. This raises serious security concerns.
The pipework under the sink was non-existent. So I had to deploy a bucket to collect waste water and avoid spillage in the room.
Unlike any other hotels I have stayed in Uganda, there were no bedside tables, no bedside table lamps, no coffee kettle. There was very little natural light in the room. The windows are designed to remain permanently shut, creating prison-like feeling.
The staff (excepting the restaurant personnel) were evidently untrained. Their understanding of hospitality was alien to anything else I have experienced elsewhere in Uganda or around the world.
I will never voluntarily recommend Dream Wood Suites.
