The positives: lobby and bar area are very nice. Breakfast buffet has a nice variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a nice sea view from the rooms. It is a short walk to the old town.
The negatives: we booked a top-tier room and, while spacious, it was grubby and worn. The carpets were old and dirty; the towels were threadbare, rough, and small; the one pillow per person was lumpy and uncomfortable; the towel warmer in the bathroom was broken; and the room lacked even the most basic amenities — there were no toiletries, no iron, no coffee maker, no tissues. The pillows were old and lumpy and the toilet paper was like sand paper. We had to ask housekeeping staff to clean our room and give us fresh towels after the third day. It is impossible to shower without getting water everywhere due to the shower set up.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially as compared to the other accommodations we had in Croatia. The hotel appears to have been built in the 1980s and last updated then. The rooms and amenities need a major refresh.
