We arrived right at the check-in time however, the check-in process was quick. I felt a bit hurried by the bellman, to get our car unloaded but, there was another vehicle trying to get into the unloading queue.
We paid extra for a Valley View room, upon looking I found our view was of buildings, no Valley, and certainly not what was expected. I asked check-in about this, and learned that the Valley View meant the room was facing the direction of the town, it didn’t mean it had an actual Valley View. I’d suggest to a future traveler not to spend extra money on a non-existent view.
Our last morning, while enjoying a little extra time sleeping in, we heard some tapping. We thought it was coming from a neighboring room however, someone gained access to our room, and thankfully quickly left. This person never identified themselves so, we have no idea if it was housekeeping or another person on staff, at least we’re hoping it was someone on staff who had a key to our room. Another suggestion to any future traveler, lock the deadbolt while occupying the room.
Other than the disappointment of the non-Valley View room and the surprise of an uninvited mystery guest while in bed, we had a fair stay.
It was nice to be away from the busyness and noise of downtown. We also struck up a conversation with the morning/early day time bellman who was friendly. I wish I had caught his name so to give a shout-out.
